Pars Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 Thanks Doug, but the parallel combo gets me closer. That said, i just ordered a 50pk of 1% MF for $2 shipped. I traded my '09 Accord in last week for the same thing only 2011... the sales guy (who I like and have dealt with for a couple of years now) saw my custom Mogami cable I had made for my ipod to the Aux jack in the other car, and asked where I had gotten it. When I told him i made it, he asked me if I could make him one for his iphone to an aux jack. After doing a bit of reading, i realized that he would be better served with a dock cable. Since I had a spare dock connector around, and some Canare, I decided to go that route. Hence the need for the resistor, but also didn't want to order something from Digikey or Mouser. Quote
Pars Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Anyone have a PCB mount SATA connector (through-hole, 7 pin vertical) or suggestions where I might be able to find one locally (Chicago)? Got a motherboard with a broken one. Something like this: Quote
johnwmclean Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I’m after some Xicon 442K’s, these if anyone has spares I need 12pcs... Otherwise I’m off to mouser to get my ass smacked for 40 bucks delivery... Quote
guzziguy Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I haven't bought from Mouser yet, but it looks like a recommended strategy is to buy 2 or 3 examples of every part the BOM calls for. Quote
spritzer Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Those of us who are truly insane just buy everything in multiples of 100... Quote
Pars Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I used to get 10 of everything when the price breaks made it attractive. SMD stuff in the 100s though. Quote
johnwmclean Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 ... it’s a wonderful strategy so long as the multiplies aren’t the wrong part tee hee... Quote
Nebby Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 so long as the multiplies aren’t the wrong part I've never done that! >.> Quote
