Guest receph Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 bit late, but for the record, there is no $25 minimum on digikey orders anymore
luvdunhill Posted October 12, 2008 Author Report Posted October 12, 2008 anyone have a spare brown dog? I just realized that I soldered a single opamp on to a 2-singles-makes-one-dual adapter tonite... that's not going to work so well, huh.. I just need one for a single AD8610, SOIC to DIP8.

Fungi Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Does anyone have any BUF634s I can use for a PIMETA? It looks like I'm inbetween batches
Pars Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 How much you wanna pay IC: Group Buy Monofied Sijosae Buffer PCBs - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio Or do a search on HF for alternatives. Can't remember who (National?) has one out that is very close to BUF634 but is supposed to sound better. The discretes sound alot better. But I do have a few BUF634 DIP-8s... wasn't really looking to sell them but I don't have anything I was going to put them in either.
Fungi Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 I'm building a PIMETA for the learning experience and it's going to my sister if it works, so I'm not looking for anything fancy like discrete buffers. If you want to sell your BUF634s, I would most gratefully buy them. (How important is it to have buffers?)
Fungi Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Decided to use the National LMH6321 since it doesn't look that hard and it's actually cheaper than the BUF634. Sorry to bother you all.
Fungi Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 I only ordered enough JFETs for one channel Does anyone have anything that's equal to or can replace this? 2N5484

luvdunhill Posted March 1, 2009 Author Report Posted March 1, 2009 Hey guys, I have a quick request. I've been looking around for a very simple remote that uses the Philips RC5 command set, and have stumbled on this beauty: Philips - Universal remote control TV zapper black - SRU1010/10 - 1000 series - Remote controls - Accessories ... problem is, I cannot seem to find this in the US. The part number is Philips SRU1010/10. Assuming that this isn't a problem with my search skills sucking, would it be possible for someone to forward me one of these over the pond? I see you can get them at Amazon.co.uk, and I see the non-US ebay sites seem to carry them as well ... Philips SRU1010 - Universal remote control - infrared: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
spritzer Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 I can pick up the 1018 and 1020 models here locally if they are of any use to you. Can't seem to find 1010...
luvdunhill Posted March 1, 2009 Author Report Posted March 1, 2009 I can pick up the 1018 and 1020 models here locally if they are of any use to you. Can't seem to find 1010... Honestly, just a remote with as few buttons as possible is what I'm looking for. Even a dead BAT or Rogue remote would be awesome... I kinda like the look of that 1010, and went through too much trouble to get one, and it seems to be defective... so, I suppose suggestions on a simple remote that looks good would work too.
spritzer Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Here is a link to the units I can get. It's in Icelandic but I think you'll manage...
swt61 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Here is a link to the units I can get. It's in Icelandic but I think you'll manage... God my Icelandic is rustier than I thought, I translated "My penis are left, right and center".
spritzer Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 God my Icelandic is rustier than I thought, I translated "My penis are left, right and center". Just a bit rusty. At least you don't sport an Icelandic name like Al...
pabbi1 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Must have been a Norseman who wrote the anagram generator - I always thought it to be Italian. One more opportunity to mess up another Mouser order tonight, but thank God PartsConnexion now carries the composite teflon pcb mount tube sockets. The Azuma chasis mount are great, but I decided to board wire rather than air wire, then realized I only had 2, not 4 - pics tonight, on the 'other' thread.
spritzer Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Could be Italian as well but "pabbi" means dad or daddy in Icelandic.
pabbi1 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 As in, 'who's your pabbi'? Well, good to know www.pabbi.com Coming Soon! might be valuable somewhere. My proper name is Allen, which a webBot somehow inverted to pabbi, by reversing and offsetting the letters, so that is how I got to it about 20 years ago.
