Contrastique Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I started this on head-fi as well but I thought for the poor suckers that aren't allowed to post on headfi anymore or simply just don't wanna I post it here also So, as title states I'm looking for a replacable amp for the Akai AM-69. The problem is it's broke as it provides the music with A LOT of noise and cracking. Very unpleasant to say the least. We once had it fixed and it worked for a while but it came back again, driving me nuts. Here's the catch: It has 2 coax inputs and 2 optical inputs. 7 line-ins and 3 line-outs. 180watt with 4 ohm and 100 watt with 8 ohm. The rest of the specs I do not have on me now, so if anyone needs to no more, let me know and I'll try to find it. We would like to keep AT LEAST 2 digital inputs, note at least. Now as this is quite hard to find and I'm not on a grande budget for this one now it has to be priced reasonably, like around $500,-. New or used doesn't matter. If anybody has any idea on where to look I will be eternally grateful Thanx in advance!
Smeggy Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Hmm, the Panasonic SA-XR models might suit you. A few of us here have them and they're quite good for the cash.
Contrastique Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 Thanx for your info. Sooner than I expected the problem already has been solved...my bf bought an AM-67 on the internet ----> $237,- which is peanuts. Thanx again for your info on such short notice as, I believe, you're the only one so far.
