Contrastique Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I started this on head-fi as well but I thought for the poor suckers that aren't allowed to post on headfi anymore or simply just don't wanna I post it here also So, as title states I'm looking for a replacable amp for the Akai AM-69. The problem is it's broke as it provides the music with A LOT of noise and cracking. Very unpleasant to say the least. We once had it fixed and it worked for a while but it came back again, driving me nuts. Here's the catch: It has 2 coax inputs and 2 optical inputs. 7 line-ins and 3 line-outs. 180watt with 4 ohm and 100 watt with 8 ohm. The rest of the specs I do not have on me now, so if anyone needs to no more, let me know and I'll try to find it. We would like to keep AT LEAST 2 digital inputs, note at least. Now as this is quite hard to find and I'm not on a grande budget for this one now it has to be priced reasonably, like around $500,-. New or used doesn't matter. If anybody has any idea on where to look I will be eternally grateful Thanx in advance! Quote
Smeggy Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Hmm, the Panasonic SA-XR models might suit you. A few of us here have them and they're quite good for the cash. Quote
Contrastique Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 Thanx for your info. Sooner than I expected the problem already has been solved...my bf bought an AM-67 on the internet ----> $237,- which is peanuts. Thanx again for your info on such short notice as, I believe, you're the only one so far. Quote
