en480c4
I <3 Firefly! While I've yet to step up with the new format, I'm happy to see this is getting the treatment it deserves.
Smeggy
Sweet, I was just watching it again last night.
Dusty Chalk
Looks more and more like I need a decent Blu-Ray player.
Salt Peanuts
Looks more and more like I need a decent Blu-Ray player. My thoughts exactly. With this news, I'm glad that I've never got around to buying my own copy of Firefly DVD.

Knuckledragger
Wow. This is the first title that actually makes me want a Blu-Ray player.

Guest troymadison
i appreciate the show now, but it's still low budget effects... How do the effects compare to Babylon 5?
Knuckledragger
The, ahem, acting and direction are far better in Firefly. The main characters are more compelling. The bad guys are more scary (dude, Niska.)

The bad guys are more scary (dude, Niska.) Actually I've seen all of firefly and loved it. I am just wondering whether or not Babylon 5 is worth getting into since I have the DVDs laying around
Dusty Chalk
I actually really like the special effects in space -- they remind me of watching real astronauts when I was a kid. That and the fact that you can't hear rocket engines in space add a sense of realism and charm to the show.
deepak
it's super epic, has a tremendous story arc, some fantastic actors (and some pretty shitty ones), and some of the most stilted dialog ever put on film. Babylon 5 right? I've watched season one in its entirety. Didn't find the time to watch the rest. One of the made for TV movies (I think it was The Gathering?) blew me away. fierce_freak
Firefly flipping owns your face, you must watch. My favorite television series ever, however short-lived (perhaps Lost will overtake it eventually, depending on how it ends).
