Chekhonte Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I've decided after reading the "i guess i listen really loud" thread that I'd temporarily donate my sound level meter to who ever wants to use it. That way anyone that wants to determine safe listening levels can do just that. You won't have to worry any more if you're destroying your hearing. Here is what I propose. I'll ship it to the the first person that wants it. After they're done they'll ship it to the next person on the list, so on and so forth until it gets shipped back to me in the end. This is presuming that anybody is interested. Quote
laxx Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Do you have the Ratshack SPL or a better one? I have the Ratshack one, but am curious if there's on that measures more accurately (at least to 10ths). Quote
aardvark baguette Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 How hard is it to measure accurately with this? Quote
Chekhonte Posted March 21, 2008 Author Report Posted March 21, 2008 I just have the crappy ratshack SPL meter. As for measuring accurately, I just put the mic up to the hole of a CD (they're the same size) and the place one earcup of the headphone on the other side of the CD. I'm sure that there are better, more accurate ways to measure volume but I'm lazy. Quote
