n_maher Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Steve, I'm assuming that the subs are active and have some sort of level adjustment on them. If so, I wouldn't think that their performance would suffer all that much if you fed them from the beta without modification. Heck, you might be able to feed them direct from the Opus depending on what their requirements are.

We decided to just try feeding the subs directly from the headphone outputs, since the active subs (you assumed correctly) have XLR inputs. This would negate the need to actually add a preamp output. Glad to hear that you concur, not that I doubt Marc for an instant, but two like opinions always make me feel better.

n_maher Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 something about having a headphone output connected to a powered sub that made me do a double take As long as there's no active ground channel you should be fine.
Salt Peanuts Posted March 18, 2008 Author Report Posted March 18, 2008 Well, I poked around a bit and it looks like 840c/MC2100 combo should work just fine as far as output impedance/input impedance are concerned. Now, if I can only find the output level of 840c. No, it's no in the manual, or at least I can't find it.
