blessingx Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) Synth fans, Moogs universal Filtatron just dropped from $8 to .99 for a bit. May want to grab. So far my cat hates it. Edited October 17, 2011 by blessingx
n_maher Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 Postjack = anti Nate Good to hear your positive vibes for the 4s Hey now! In ios5 news, I'm finding the tabbed browsing to be somewhat buggy. On many forums embedded links don't work right. They open a tab but the tab doesn't load. Anyone else?
morphsci Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Yep, I notice a few problems on the iPad. Usually a page refresh does the trick but mildly annoying.
Knuckledragger Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Kai Wong does a pretty serious review of the camera in the 4s:

mikeymad Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 hmmm so I have to convert my 25,000 FLAC files?
Hopstretch Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Still a couple of rough edges, but a commendable start.
Grahame Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 How about the 1983 Apple Gift Catalog ? Or the Diskette File, Handy for those backups. Or something for the stylish man about town? http://blog.signalnoise.com/2011/10/12/1983-apple-gift-catalog/
en480c4 Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Anyone here having issues with their 4s battery life? Mine's been great. My 3s had an issue after the upgrade to the final release of iOS5, with only 3-4 hrs on a charge, but it was fixed by deleting and recreating my email accounts. Nobody I know with the 4s has had an issue, but it's all I keep seeing in the news.
mikeymad Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) Mine is great just curious (being a non iphone user).. what does that mean? (ed. meant phone) Edited November 2, 2011 by mikeymad
grawk Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 it means I charge it every night, and never think about my battery life, with heavy use.
mikeymad Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 kewl... was not sure... I am out of scale with my phone going about 5 days with heavy use.... was just curious... thx
grawk Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 The only time battery life is ever an issue for me is when I spend all day in my data center, which has barely 1 bar coverage, sporatically. I've never had a phone survive that with enough power that I dont' need to plug it in on the drive home. I get about 200 emails a day, and have push email on, so my phone is always talking on the network.
luvdunhill Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Man, you have had the 4s for a while now already! I have heard rumors of similar battery issues, but my 3GS is simply awesome. I get 2 days on a charge with almost continual use. Skype seems better now as well.
blessingx Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Apple Confirm Battery Life Problems Are iOS 5 Related
HeadphoneAddict Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) Fortunately all of our 4S are running great with good battery life. We upgraded one of the 3GS to iOS 5 and it was running fine for a few days before we put it in storage for a rainy day. And we restored all of ours from backups and didn't set them up as fresh phones, which could potentially cause issues because the backups were from jail-broken phones. If I had battery trouble that might be the first place I'd look, trying to set it up as a new phone without restoring. Edited November 3, 2011 by HeadphoneAddict
blessingx Posted November 4, 2011 Report Posted November 4, 2011 Looks like Siri and Furby have issues...
HeadphoneAddict Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) Anyone else having trouble with Siri connecting to the network today? UPDATE - I read that if you reset network setting and turn Siri off and back on it would fix it. I just tried it and it worked. Haven't been able to use Siri all day until I reset network settings. Earlier I only tried turning Siri off and rebooting. Edited November 5, 2011 by HeadphoneAddict
cetoole Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Do people actually find themselves using siri?
