tyrion Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Power Slider for iPhone 3G : Incase Product This looks cool for traveling and might not have access to charge the iphone during the day.
n_maher Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 FYI - I finally got a chance to try my old-school SiK-din with the Touch, works fine. Can't believe that I didn't try it before...
grawk Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 yah, my firewire dock works great with the iphone.
Hopstretch Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 The official Amazon app is up. Like I need to be able to spend even more money there on the go. The take-a-photo-of-anything-and-we'll-figure-out-what-it-is-and-send-you-the-link-to-it-in-our-store feature is quite cool.

That is evil, but if you can read the reviews sort of handy - I was already using the iPhone to check things like that in stores. Well, when I was in a store, which ain't all that often.
Knuckledragger Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 I dunno if H-C has already covered it, but last month Wadia announced the 170iTransport. This is the first high falutin' iPod dock that has remotely interested me. $380 isn't cheap, but it's chump change compared the Krell's unfortunately-named Baby-Dock/Papa-Dock set. Backwards compatibility with older 'Pods isn't great, but S-Video/component video out, and S/PDIF coax out is saweet.
naamanf Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Wait wait wait....My iPhone plays music?
n_maher Posted December 5, 2008 Author Report Posted December 5, 2008 I dunno if H-C has already covered it... Yes, it was covered in multiple threads quite some time ago. It interests me to a point but not enough.
thrice Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Craigslist app (itunes link) Apparently the ability to be notified when something gets posted that matches your search criteria is a future feature.
Voltron Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Random question that I admittedly have not yet researched but my stepfather-in-law has wanted Japanese language flash cards on his iPod for years and has never succeeded. I wondered if the Touch could provide some hope either through apps or just through the larger screen and flexibility with graphics. Anybody know anything useful on this topic? Considering getting him a refurbed Touch if this were something we could accomplish. TIA

I'm strongly considering getting a Touch soon.

Salt Peanuts Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 On a similar topic, can a Touch or iPhone display Japanese on Safari? I'm strongly considering getting a Touch soon. Never mind, I figured it out. I'm really liking the touch and as a computer-as-source iTunes user, Remote is fantastic.

Hopstretch Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 For most of the day today I thought I'd managed to lose my iPhone. Also thought I was going to cry. Scary to think how much of my life is in this thing.
hYdrociTy Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 posting this on a 16gb touch I got today as a gift
n_maher Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 posting this on a 16gb touch I got today as a gift NICE!
JBLoudG20 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I'm giving thought to selling my touch.I haven't used it in about a month, and daddy needs an exhaust for his (pending) new bike. I have my mac with me all day at school, and I'm probably going to pickup a shuffle for workouts. I don't know if I need my touch anymore.
