deepak Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 I just listened to one of two new Blue Note Hoffman releases, Undercurrents by Kenny Drew and a bunch of jazz heroes. IT IS AWESOME! I had never even heard the album (unless I checked it out on Rhapsody when I signed up for the Blue Note series). Anyway, these are even better than the Fantasy 45s as an overall package, and I am torn on whether to just order up the Acoustic Sounds Blue Note series as well... \ It is a problem. aardvark sandwich seems to have solved it by buying them all
swt61 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I'm not so sure that was a joke, Marc thinks way above most of us.
luvdunhill Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I'm not so sure that was a joke, Marc thinks way above most of us. I know there is an Air Tight arm with this feature, as well as the Goldmund T8. An excerpt from here: http://www.goldmund.com/products/reference/ "Motor-driven VTA adjustment with remote-control, allowing height calibration within 1/10 of a millimeter"
Dusty Chalk Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Also, doesn't the EL-P automatically take the laser light equivalent of VTA into effect, so you don't even need a remote-controlled VTA adjustment?

Pars Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 nah, I'm still trying to rig up a remote controlled VTA adjustment What, no auto self-measuring RTA VTA adjust? I'm disappointed!
luvdunhill Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 What, no auto self-measuring RTA VTA adjust? I'm disappointed! nah, VTA (okay, okay, SRA really.. but VTA for those "magnetic" personalities) and VTF are a purists EQ =)

Voltron Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Here is the Impulse! list being done by Analog Productions, and I am pretty happy for the most part. Bummed there is no Archie Shepp, Chico Hamilton, or a couple others, but really psyched about a lot of these titles. Also happy to have confirmation they will do copies of the original gatefold covers. Noice! Gil Evans - Out Of The Cool Migus, Mingus, Mingus Art Blakey And The Jazz Messsengers Count Basie And The Kansas City 7 McCoy Tyner - Inception Shelly Manne - 2,3,4 John Coltrane - Coltrane Roy Hanyes - Out Of The Afernoon Duke Ellington Meets Coleman Hawkins Freddie Hubbard - The Artistry Of Duke Ellington & John Coltrane Coleman Hawkins - Today And Now Mingus - Black Saint And The Sinner Lady Freddie Hubbard - Body And Soul McCoy Tyner - Night Of The Ballad And Blues Sonny Stitt and Paul Gonsalves - Salt ANd Pepper Oliver Nelson - Blues And The Abstract Truth Ben Webster - See You At The Fair Johnny Hartman - The Voice That Is John Coltrane - A Love Supreme John Coltrane - The John Coltrane Quartet Plays Coleman Hawkins - Wrapped Tight Elvin Jones - Dear John C Sonny Rollins - On Impulse John Lee Hooker - It Serves You Right To Suffer
tyrion Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 the Acoustic Sounds catalog arrived today and they have the impulse releases listed. It says they are coming in '09 and taking pre-orders. So many 45's so little time and money.
