Elephas Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Hehe. Er, I didn't really finish the sentence, the last part should be "in exchange for his SRM-T2."
spritzer Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 I'm not so sure he's want to trade down... I really do wonder if that NOS T2 is still avaialble in Italy... 10k euros was a bit much though
didwlgh Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Amazing review...I wish I could write like that =(
Smeggy Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 I'm still wondering if the fabled T2 is really worthy of the almost mythical status it garners. If the schematics are available surely it shouldn't be too difficult to build one, and be a fuck site cheaper to boot.

THe detailed schematics aren't avaialble (not that I know of anyway) but the general design is known and there was a great post by Carl over on HF on it. Lets just say that Stax could have done better but the amp is well worth the normal price of 3-400,000Yen.
deepak Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 So getting a T2 would pretty much make you the Don of the Stax Mafia?
spritzer Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 So getting a T2 would pretty much make you the Don of the Stax Mafia? Nahh... just a sucker with too much money. A BH with upgraded PSU and CCS will utterly destroy it and at a lower price, well if you aren't insane like Marc and I...
