postjack Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Hoping to find a digital stylus force gauge accurate to 0.01. Really don't want to pay more then $100. Needs to last forever and ever. Any suggestions?
luvdunhill Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 I bought mine from Mehran of SORAsound: http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?anlgcart&1205150157 paid a bit less than the asking price. Works great. I've also used setups similar to the jigs that are from Wally of WallyTractor fame using "hydroponic" scales off Ebay: jig concept: http://www.simplyblack.net/WVC/tools/scale.htm and "hydroponic" scale on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/600-0-1-GRAM-HYDROPONICS-SEEDS-DIGITAL-JEWELRY-SCALE_W0QQitemZ130193203932QQihZ003QQcategoryZ43555QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem edit: mine is like that one, except 0.01g. Just search for 0.01g scale.

Thanks! no problem! it's a really great little toy... my dealer has a Winds gauge and I "calibrated" mine against that... they differed by like +0.06g I believe. I also have a few weights around that I use as sanity checks, but the scale has been rock solid.
