grawk Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Hey you crazy Head Casers.. ever tried using a guitar with a bass's effects or vice versa? I'm curious if it works or not. Anyone tried? Yup, it works. I play my guitar through my bass v-amp pro all the time.
Nenso Posted January 28, 2008 Author Report Posted January 28, 2008 LOL WTF I thought you could sometimes use effects.. but amps too? A bass's frenquency is very low whereas a guitar's frequency is in about the middle from what I recall. If you use pitch modifiers, or amps.. wouldn't that.. sound weird? Hows the sound?
grawk Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 bass v-amp pro is a bass multi-effects/amp simulator, kinda like the line 6 stuff. But yah, bass amps make great guitar amps. Bass amps are designed to put out a lot of clean power.
yuujin Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 but note that you can never use basses on guitar amps. they go boom. but guitar pickups on basses, now thats sweet.

Not entirely true, but you have to take care because damage to the speakers is a possibility. re: guitar through a bass amp: Some of the old classic blues amps were bass amps.
