en480c4 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 While I was waiting for this to air, I have to admit, I didn't go in with much in the way of expectations. But I have to say... I enjoyed the hell out of the premier. Things I liked: * Summer Glau as Cameron * The rest of the cast * Starting it a few years after T2 * How they got to current day * Did I mention Summer Glau? Things I didn't like: * The horrible tatoo cover-up on Lena Headey's arms and back * The stupid "Class Dismissed" line There was lots of action, the acting was solid throughout and the story could be interesting. So it's definitely got my attention for the next few episodes, and considering the lack of new TV out there, it will have to get pretty bad for me to give up on it.
tkam Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I watched it as well and my thoughts pretty much mirror yours. I think it could end up being a pretty good show. The cast is pretty good and yes especially Summer Glau .
n_maher Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Watched it, liked it, love Summer. Don't forget that there's another hour on tonight at 9pm!
laxx Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 My friend said I'll like it. There's alot of pretty girls, lol. <3
ojnihs Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 i watched it as well, and went into it not expecting too much, but hell i liked it quite a bit. can't wait for tonight's episode.

Dusty Chalk Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I will definitely have to find a way to see this -- I named my computer at work "River".

Salt Peanuts Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Damnit, I can't believe I missed it. I hope they rerun the first episode sometime soon. I gotta start recording it on DVR.

I would wager that the episode will be able to be viewed at the official site, if not I'm sure we can come up with a way for you guys to watch it.
n_maher Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 it's all over mininova. I greatly prefer rapidshare. Sure, it costs a couple of bucks but opens up a whole world of file sharing.
Salt Peanuts Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I just started the torrent few minutes ago. I'll make sure to record tonight's episode.
Salt Peanuts Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 there is a second new one, already? Yep, it's a two-night premier. I just completely forgot about it last night since I was doing work on computer.

tkam Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Just finished watching the 2nd episode, I'm starting to have high hopes for the series.
n_maher Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Just finished watching the 2nd episode, I'm starting to have high hopes for the series. I'm about to go start it now.
grawk Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 My high hopes are merely that it doesn't suck horribly before writers start putting out good material again

en480c4 Posted January 15, 2008 Author Report Posted January 15, 2008 I definitely thought the second episode was stronger than the premier. It looks like it's moving in the right direction.
deepak Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Good show, all the Terminator 1 references are making me want to watch it again So does Sarah Connor actually die in 2005? And was the explanation "cancer" given in Terminator 3? I thought it was something else...
en480c4 Posted February 4, 2008 Author Report Posted February 4, 2008 IIRC, the cause was the same, but it was '99 instead of '05. Looking forward to seeing a new episode tonight.
deepak Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 According to this timeline Sarah dies in 1997. So about two years after the Cyberdyne incident. edit: so that's a slight inconsistency with the show since the first episode says it's set in 1999.
tkam Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 This show has been getting better and better each week IMO. Easily my favorite new show in quite awhile.
