FYI it's widely expected that Microsoft with have an external blu-ray add-on drive for the 360 available within 3 months.

Ouch, that's gotta smart.

Well, I haven't bought the PS3 yet, but I probably still will, since we know its a good Blu-Ray player, and all we know about the Xbox Blu Ray addon drive is that tkam said it is coming out in a few months. :)

It will be coming out in a few months ;). May at the earliest, though no price estimate has been given. It'll be interesting to see if they can get it down around $200 like the hd-dvd add-on was.

That's true. Ok then..

Sweet. That'll boost our profits!

So when Sony hires you, do they make you hand in your human race membership card before or after you drink the blood of the hobo they have you capture?

At least if MS make a cheaper external BD-ROM drive it should be usable with a PC like their HD-DVD drive is. Still, I'd rather have a burner.

The Lite-On SATA blu-ray burner isn't terribly priced at $350

That was my impression of a MS exec.

Anyway, Sony didn't hire me, they bought the company I work for. However, it is true they made us drink hobo blood. :'(

Oh? I hadn't seen that one around. Local retailers would probably double that price, but importing would work out quite reasonable I expect. Think I'll have to check it out.
