JBLoudG20
As seen on H-F today: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/press_releases_07.01.2008 http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/press_releases__07.01.2008 http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/press_releases__07.01.2008_ Seems as if the awaited new top of the line model isn't here yet. I wonder if they'll have a surprise at CES? They seem to be following the IEM trend, so I wonder if they are even interested in a 'new' 650. If the 650 is doing well, my mess with it? If the 650 is doing well, my mess with it? True enough. Those IEM and mobile products will make more money for them - development of a new flagship is probably not cost-effective. Also, I think it's a bit weird that they still carry the HD 600 concurrently with the HD 650.

ojnihs
meh, hd700 or not, i'm not going to spend whatever they're going to charge for it to own one. after i get my dac-ah, i'm going to call it quits on headphone stuff and focus my attention on speakers and home theater stuff. deepak
I really would have liked to have seen a new top dynamic as well (or an electrostat) just to spice up a stale market.

Iron_Dreamer
The adjustable crossover in the TOTL IEM is somewhat cool, and makes since, as much debate over IEM's comes down to "too much bass vs. too little bass." In theory now one could have their ER4S and UM2 in the same package, with the twist of a screw.

thrice
Well, it's late and there's no update on HF, so either they're having sooo much fun with whatever Senn has announced, or the IEMs were it along with the wireless jobs...kinda Meh if you ask me. I think it's the fact that it's only 6:40pm on the West Coast and that maybe the preview hasn't really started yet. Who knows, jude was supposed to broadcast something live I thought but I'm not sticking around to wait. More IEMs can wait till morning. catscratch
Not surprised. IEMs and wireless is what the market wants the most right now, so Sennheiser wisely responds. They have the name recognition to get stocked in retail stores, so they give them something to sell like hot cakes. As for the HD650 - they seem to be sticking to the Stax party line, "if it sells, don't fix it." Adjustable bass IEMs seems like a good idea to me. A lot of DAPs have lousy EQ, so being able to do it in the headphones themselves gives users a lot of options. I would have liked to see a new flagship headphone with a different driver technology, but until HD650/HD600 sales slump and the market starts calling for something like that, I doubt it will happen.
