Grand Enigma Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 are they supposed to be Super Freqy? You can call the 800 number and ask them... It is 1-877-FREQ-LOVE (honestly)
n_maher Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 How's the isolation compared to the Etys, Zach?
Grand Enigma Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 How's the isolation compared to the Etys, Zach? Using my custom tips on the Etys they are about the same which is what I expected. The full ear impressions really don't offer better isolation just a slightly better fit.
tyrion Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I just found out that the company is located in Tampa, FL. I just invited them and LiveWires to CanJam. I may pay them a visit when I'm in Tampa next.

Dusty Chalk Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Wow, they even look like they came from molds. Do you think they broke them when they were done?
tyrion Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Where better to operate a hearing aid company than where all the old people are Everyones a comedian around here. How about less comedy and more shipping of 10' of your best wire for the K1000.
Grand Enigma Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 Everyones a comedian around here. How about less comedy and more shipping of 10' of your best wire for the K1000. 10' eh... that would sure make a short cable
tyrion Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 10' eh... that would sure make a short cable Exactly, I want a K1000 with a 2 1/2' cable. I like to be close to the heat of the tubes when I listen.

Grand Enigma Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 boooo, Zach. Love you too Reks... the alcohol made you a bit slow?
tyrion Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 It sure would be nice to have some Enigma Audio wired K1000 to bring to Mayberry for a showdown with those fancy Equinox guys. I guess I could just take the Senn cable you sent me and have it hardwired to my K1000. It would be a shame to not have that nice EA Senn cable to show off in Mayberry.
n_maher Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I lied, one more question, Zach. How far do they project from your ears? Bascially I'm looking for something that is a lot more flush than the ER4Ps and it looks the Freq's cable comes out at a bit of an angle and that has me curious.
laxx Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 The connectors are what worry me when I see the pics.
jinp6301 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Question from this side as well, do they sound more like the e500s or more like the etys or something else?
Grand Enigma Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 Nate, they really don't sit much more flush then the Etys with the current cable. Not with my custom tips anyway. The cable appears to be sturdy enough but I will certainly be sending them back to get upgraded when they decide on a new cable.
n_maher Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Hmm, that's not exactly what I wanted to hear but I may take a flier on them anyway. My experiment with the IM716 failed (they don't fit me well) and it'll cost me damn near as much to get custom molds made for my Etys.
