overlunge Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 What's your guilty pleasure when it comes to music listening? Any musicians that you enjoy which would possbily be frowned upon by other? Tell the Godfather about your guilty pleasure Mine has to be listening to Justin Timberlake's songs on radio and couldn't help myself to sing along to the last bit of the <Senorita>
Dusty Chalk Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I have so many guilty pleasures, I've stopped feeling guilty about them: Pink, Kylie Minogue, and yes, even the occasional Madonna. Screw the frowners.
mjg Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 listening to that LA DA DA DA song at the gym with that hypnotic yet childish beat. just kidding,t hat song makes me nauseas and angry at the same time. Guilty pleasure? Hmpph, I used to hate hippy stuff, I used to make fun of it alot... now I seem to like the dead. sue me.
philodox Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Why should Tegan and Sarah be a guilty pleasure? They're great. Anyways, all I can think of right now myself is Eminem and David Bowie.
tiberian Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 tegan and sara? their lyrics are so...silly, like singing about being lovesick or something like that.
tiberian Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 hah, guess my classmate is listening to them now. last night i told her that i am tired of her shit and today i said no when she invited me for lunch.
en480c4 Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 T.A.T.U. I enjoy 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane, especially the Russian-sung songs, far more than I should!
CD44hi Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I think they did a great job in the re-mastering for the SACD version of "the bangles: greatest hits" he he he oh, BTW, this sounded great in Hirsch's modded Denon player, out to a SP Supra SDS then to MDR-R10
PFKMan23 Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Most of my music would be under guilty pleasures classification. Let's see... The most recent would be Backstreet Boys CD, the High School Musical Sountrack, the list goes on and on...
tiberian Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 btw i have some jpop too...no i am not jjcha but heh.
Vertigo Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 tegan and sara? their lyrics are so...silly, like singing about being lovesick or something like that. They're silly lesbians. What do you expect? Guilty pleasures.... hmmm I dunno. I don't worry about it
tiberian Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 i thought they would sing about something more interesting...oh well heh.
magnum Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Most all of ANA CARAM's albums and one from Tori Amos- StrangeLittleGirls I do really enjoy.
grawk Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I wouldn't personally call ana caram a guilty pleasure...
philodox Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 If Tori Amos is a guilty pleasure... I am... most guilty.
devwild Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Attend the the tale of Sweeney Todd. His face was pale and his eye was odd. He shaved the faces of gentlemen, who never thereafter were heard of again. He trod a path that few have trod, did Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
PsychoZX Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 I don't feel guilty about any of the music I listen too.
aerius Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Most all of ANA CARAM's albums and one from Tori Amos- StrangeLittleGirls I do really enjoy. I have 2 copies of "Strange Little Girls" just because I wanted one of the alternate CD covers. I think there's 4 different covers, I just had to get another one for variety.
Post Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 I feel like a tool enjoying the sound of my own voice, but don't blame me - it's damn fun getting into home recording and tweaking it to sound better in fidelity than 90 percent of the stuff pumping through my rig at the moment. The only downside is - uh, it's me singing to myself. Guilty Pleasure.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 New guilty pleasure (for me) -- I was at a wedding last Saturday, and they played Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" (w/Wyclef Jean). Godam! Am I the only person who appreciates how brilliant it is to combine reggae and latino rhythms? That's genius. Now I need to track down the single, because the version I heard was from that Voices album, and I don't think I need the rest of that claptrap. Is the rest of her material like that? Do I want to track down Oral Fixation Vol. 2?
MexicanDragon Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I think it's time to bring this back... guilty pleasures are so much fun, sometimes. Justin Timberlake is probably my most guilty right now. Hate to admit it, but some actual good stuff, thrown in with some of his SNL stuff. The kid's got talent... **BRENT**
