mapstec Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 After getting myself a pair of Jecklin Floats Model I needed to restore these: Before and after: Since I put another cable on them as well (Mogami 2893), I wanted to do a quick and easy test. I pulled the DIY Charlize out of the rack, added the PS1 as the player and hooked the Float up to the speaker out. While I have to say that there was some ground noise, this whole combo really rocks! David Bowie "The Man Who Sold The World" has been described as "Hard-Rock" but I never heard it this hard rocking! Before the Float was all Highs, Bass was there but not really coming to the fore. With the proper pads and the new cable the Float I is one of my favorite headphones. And if you add the other "cheap" components to this setup I have to say serious Mid-Fi has never been easier to achieve.
deepak Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 The best part about the Float is you look completely normal wearing them

n_maher Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 That picture always looked so bad I thought it was photoshopped for the longest time.
Fitz Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 My goodness, that sturzhelm makes the wearer look absolutely stunning.
Duggeh Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 Thats the firs time I've seen a dynamic Jecklin Float with the silver strip. Nice.
Cynric Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 I never got that cool shirt with my set... Also note the 70s lava lamp in the back, the extra cheap discounter CD-R on the table and the bicycle seat on the left of the smiling guy.
