I've been up since 4:30am, and it still hasn't snowed yet, so hurray for that.

We got a bit less than a foot from thursday through monday, so it wasn't nearly as 'epic' as forecast. I was expecting to have to tunnel out.

I didn't shovel this morning, and almost died going down my driveway. I just got back home, and my driveway had melted. Since I survived, I made the right call :)

I didn't shovel neither, but I doubt it's going to melt, I didn't leave the house 'til after noon, and it didn't look like it was going anywhere. But since it's just a dusting, I'm not going to worry about it.

Good excuse, traffic + any precipitation drives me nuts. I can't stop picturing a colon between the > and 3. >:3

"My" car broke down two weeks ago and my parents haven't bothered getting it fixed so I'm not able to easily commute, anyway.

It's only the beginning of February. We've had freak snows in April before, and we're not exactly very far north.

Thankfully it only ended up being 3-4" or so, so shoveling this time around was reasonably quick.

And in the freshly paid-off car too...... ;)

Didnt actually use my car for the drive, flew into Montgomery, AL Sunday and drove my grandmother's buick. Wish I had my car. Did get into a bit of snow in VA on Tuesday, but not too bad before we pulled off for the night.

we're fucked
I went to weather.com, posted 22209 (where I work), clicked over to hour-by-hour, and when I got to tomorrow, sometime between 10am and later, this is exactly what it said. And then I turned on WTOP,

Announcer: What do you have for us, Doug Hill?

Doug Hill: Oh, we're fucked, Dean Lane. It's going to drop on us like a diarrheal flying cow that just ate the whole pasture.

I'm working from home. Around here people don't know now to drive in snow and it scares the shit of out me on the road at times. I was just thinking back to doing a 45min drive in a Michigan blizzard once, felt safer than I do around here when it's raining much less snowing. There, people know how to drive in snow!
