SeaWolf Posted March 20, 2020 Report Posted March 20, 2020 Sounds like March to June in Chicago. So many reasons why I opt not to live there no matter how much I love the city its self.
dsavitsk Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 It's snowed here last fall, didn't snow all winter, and now is snowing in the spring. 2
n_maher Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Yup, snowing here today as well with expected totals in the 2-3" range. What a giant crock of crap. 1
Pars Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 We've gotten snow here in Chicago area twice this week (including Thursday night). I can deal with this kind of snow: a) don't have to go anywhere, and b) it doesn't stick to sidewalks and driveways, so don't have to do a damn thing about it 1
n_maher Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Thankfully we got a lot less than predicted. It changed over to rain before noon and there's no sign of it now. Still, we've gotten a ton of rain over the last 3 weeks which makes it hard for kids that are already feeling cooped up. The woods are a mess too, with areas that I've never seen wet full of puddles. Next week 4/5 days are predicted to have rain. The lawn is going gangbusters.
n_maher Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Awoke to more bullshit this morning. Unbelievable. 2 2
Augsburger Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 84 degrees here today, I feel your pain. 1 1
guzziguy Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Yup. It's finally starting to cool off here. Down to 82. 1 1
Dusty Chalk Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Yeah, y’all keep yucking it up until you fall into the Pacific. 3
guzziguy Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Sorry, not yucking it up. Summer arrived here yesterday and it's hot, at least from my perspective. I don't like hot.
Augsburger Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Well we could use some nice distractions or would you rather we continue to shelter and be depressed?
Dusty Chalk Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 I’m just jealous of your weather, don’t mind me. It was a reference to that old prediction that everything West of the San Andreas Fault was going to fall into the ocean. Not sure why it’s no longer spoken in polite company...
skullguise Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Just had a flashback to this song I liked eons ago
guzziguy Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Everything west of the San Andreas Fault isn't going to fall into the ocean. It's just heading north. Geologically soon, where I currently live will be where Marin County is. 2 1
guzziguy Posted April 24, 2020 Report Posted April 24, 2020 Well, it's 9:50pm and it's 81 degrees outside.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 24, 2020 Report Posted April 24, 2020 What are you saying, it’s going to float to the top? *ki-ki-ki*
skullguise Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) If it wasn't May friggin' 9th, I'd say this was quite beautiful! It won't accumulate though, so we're enjoying from a warm house. Edited May 9, 2020 by skullguise
n_maher Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 Snowing here too, Todd. What the actual apocalypse is going on?!?!?j. Also, my parents who live about an hour further north have 2" on the ground. 1
Craig Sawyers Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 That is so weird. Snow in May? WTF! We haven't had a single flake of snow (at least where we live) in this winter just gone. Lots and lots of rain, named storms, and flooding - but zero snow. That means insect heaven with no cold weather to kill them off. So flies, wasps and ticks will be abundant as the year goes on. Can hardly wait. Watch insect repellent being the next hoarding bulk buy. 75 degrees here just now. 1
Fitz Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 Further proof that 2020 is the start of the end times.

n_maher Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 It's currently sunny and snowing with the wind gusting 20+mph. In other words a totally normal, pleasant, spring day. 2
dsavitsk Posted October 30, 2020 Report Posted October 30, 2020 It's been nearly 6 months since the last time it snowed here ... 2
Voltron Posted October 30, 2020 Report Posted October 30, 2020 It's been almost six months since we had the last drop of precipitation here... 1 5
