swt61 Posted October 29, 2016 Report Posted October 29, 2016 OK, I was going to call you on the 12 years after spending 40 in Alaska, but I'd say the 2 years in South Dakota will more than make up the difference. Carry on.
morphsci Posted October 29, 2016 Report Posted October 29, 2016 Yeah, I figure 2 years in South Dakota is worth at least 20 years almost anywhere else. 1
acidbasement Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 It's been snowing for the last three days with high winds. There's over a foot of it on the ground, and the kids's school has been closed for the last two days. Going down to -30'C this weekend. We're leaving for Florida/metalcruise in 51 days. 9
acidbasement Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 We usually get down to -40 at least once per winter.
Grahame Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 I can see why Florida / Metalcruise would be appealing in comparison. 1
spritzer Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 It's 8°C here today so you are welcome for a visit. 2
acidbasement Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Iceland is on our bucket list, and airfare is pretty cheap to get there! We'll visit one of these days, for sure. Maybe in the summer though.
ironbut Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Geez! Another Arctic Blast this year. Keep safe! 1
acidbasement Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 It's now warmed up to a glorious -20, without any wind or cloud. Not bad at all.
skullguise Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 In Dusty's words....yeezh! Stay warm, Ian and family!! 3
VPI Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Kasia decided we needed a cycling snow man outside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6

I was going to ask the silly question, C or F, they quickly realized at that point it really doesn't really matter, they are converging, ha ha. F=C ------> Freaking Cold!!!
grawk Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 -40 is the convergence point. -20C is a lot warmer than -20F 1

acidbasement Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Only dirty barbarians use Fahrenheit.

swt61 Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Bradbury didn't write no stinkin' Celsius 451! 1
