tom_hankins Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I got my wife the Canon digital Rebel XTi and a Quantaray 70/300 lens for her birthday about a month ago. She needs a case and nothing at Wolfs is cutting it. Any leads to where I can find a nice one? Quote

n_maher Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 www.lowepro.com - available through many online vendors. I've been using their bags for a while and have no complaints. Quote
JBLoudG20 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I keep my XTw/E3 grip, a sigma 70-300, sigma 24-70, a few filters, charger, etc. in a Kata sling bag. I bought it specifically because I like to walk around with my gear (hiking, etc) and this ix a convienant way to carry, and get at my camera quickly. Quote
tom_hankins Posted December 10, 2007 Author Report Posted December 10, 2007 Thanks for the help everybody. Ended up getting one from a place called "Adorama" Its one of there in house made cases. Also picked up A weird looking little mini tripod called the GorillaPod. That looks like it for the socking stuffers. Quote
tiberian Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 jay would you recommend the sigma 24-70? i am using the tamron 28-75 right now but i could use a few more MMs on the wide angle side. i can't afford the canon 24-70 so i am thinking about trading my tamron for a sigma... Quote
laxx Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Why not go for the Tamron 17-50 then? Quote
grawk Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Check out fredmiranda.com and dpreview.com for good advice on camera stuff from a much larger community of users Like headphones, there's a really deep rabbit hole for camera gear, so you should look for advice as to where the sweet spots are. For zooms, I prefer tamron over sigma, generally speaking, but every mfg has their lenses that are awesome. Quote
