Chekhonte Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 I bought an external hard drive with an eSATA port and am thinking about getting an eSATA pci card. I've skimmed infformation about eSATA and I keep reading about how you need a motherboard that supports it. Are they just talking about integrated eSATA on the motherboard or will I not be able to even use a PCI card on a noncompatable motherboard? Quote
tkam Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 They are just talking about motherboards with eSATA integrated. There's no reason a eSATA pci card won't work in any pci slot. Quote
Chekhonte Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 Thanks, I'm a big dummy when it comes to this kind of stuff. Quote
