boomana Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Okay, not really worthy of a thread, but that's never stopped me before. I found this rather curious. Anyone bored enough to try? http://www.householdhacker.com/?p=7
oicdn Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 nice.....I'm gonna go into my kitchen and do it. WOnder how much battery life it gives you?
aerius Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Flat out impossible. To produce a current, you need dissimilar metals in an electrolyte. A USB jack is all one metal, there will be no electron flow, thus no current. Even if there were dissimilar metals in the jack, there isn't anywhere close to enough surface area to create any significant current. In other words, it's a fake.
