Grand Enigma Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 ...just went down a big time notch in my book. It is a bit hard to produce music when the needle guard is still on your Grado cartridge
Nanoha Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 House (in the TV show) has a Sota turntable. The needle guard was still on.
tom_hankins Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Personally, I think leaving the guard on would only improve the sound of the Grado cartridges.
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 dang, didn't even catch that and i watched the episode this morning
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 once again, not paying attention but...but...i've actually never used a turntable before! :'(
Nanoha Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 I thought he had the Duevel Bella Luna Diamante before. Does he still have that there?
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 I thought he had the Duevel Bella Luna Diamante before. Does he still have that there? those are in his condo/house
deepak Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 once again, not paying attention hey, what speakers does House have in his office? He comes off as a guy that would like Maggies
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 you know, i remember reading what speakers he has in his office somewhere, but i can't remember where. let me try and find it
deepak Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 you know, i remember reading what speakers he has in his office somewhere, but i can't remember where. let me try and find it If I was a writer I'd put some Maggie 20.1s in his office. Make the ladies knees wobble
tom_hankins Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 If I was a writer I'd put some Maggie 20.1s in his office. Make the ladies knees wobble If your the writer you can get them to do whatever you want without the maggies. Of course it might have to go to cable.
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 still looking, i remember finding out what speakers he had in his office for episode 1, which were changed from episode 2 onward, but god help me, i'm having trouble finding it
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Well he uses a Thor Audio amp at home http://www.thoraudio.com/whatsnew.html
tom_hankins Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 To bad with all that great equipment he doesnt know that the needle has to actually be in the groove to make music.
grawk Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Or it's a tv show, and they don't actually use the audio from the turntable in the show, and having it make noise is a drawback...
tom_hankins Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Or it's a tv show, and they don't actually use the audio from the turntable in the show, and having it make noise is a drawback... Gee, ya think...
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Found it: The speakers that are found in house's office from episode 2 on are from the Phillips MXI6000 HTIB
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 yup, that's them. doesn't seem particularly high end, does it? no, not really. check out the very first episode, he had different speakers. i remember finding out what they were a while ago and they seemed pretty high end to me.
spritzer Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 no, not really. check out the very first episode, he had different speakers. i remember finding out what they were a while ago and they seemed pretty high end to me. They were Audiostatic long throw electrostatic speakers without the wings. Great speakers that look too cool at least much cooler the the Martin-Logan crap
ojnihs Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 They were Audiostatic long throw electrostatic speakers without the wings. Great speakers that look too cool at least much cooler the the Martin-Logan crap that's the one! thanks spritzer!
deepak Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 If your the writer you can get them to do whatever you want without the maggies. Of course it might have to go to cable. If I was really a writer for the show I'd have House carry around a fibula and he'd whack someone every time they mentioned lupus in the differential diagnosis. My favorite anatomy prof always carried a long bone to whack people with
