Dusty Chalk Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Since traffic is low enough here, I usually use "Show Unread Posts Since Last Visit" to view posts. But sometimes, if someone responds quickly enough, it doesn't show up in the list. It'd be nice if the time of the last visit was somehow reset to the time of one's last post once your session times out. I know it could affect some people adversely (I.E. if someone does a lot of lurking, and very little posting, then that list would basically never time out), but I don't think it would be that inconvenient, would it? Or how about: what is the timeout period? Let's say it's 5 minutes. If the time of the last visit could be reset to the time of the last visit minus 5 minutes either when the last visit times out, or when the person checks back in, that would work, too. Would either of those things be possible? Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 Downgraded to a lower priority -- I discovered the "View the most recent posts on the forum" link at the bottom of the front page, under Forum Stats. I can use that. Quote
