n_maher Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 I was working on a project this weekend and realized that I had my camera downstairs in my DIY dungeon. It seemed like a good time to take a picture and start a thread like this, I figure no one should be ashamed of what their space looks like after they see mine. That's my nightmare, what's yours?
JBLoudG20 Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Mine is mobile. It all goes in a box, and I take it to school or back home. I think I have a picture of when I was working on the W3000.
Grand Enigma Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 My work space has to fit back in a box when I am done...so I suppose I do not have a "work space"... can get you a picture of my box if you wish.
n_maher Posted November 26, 2007 Author Report Posted November 26, 2007 I used to be in the same boat as both of you, needing to pack everything up after each time I used it. I don't miss those days.

There was a time I even had an audio room... now it has become my wifes storage room since her parents moved out of state.

ph0rk Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Takes care of most projects these days - it's a little slow sometimes. I'm never giving up my office.
grawk Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 [me=grawk]wouldn't trade being married for not being married. The loss of some things is worth it.[/me]

Grand Enigma Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 [me=grawk]wouldn't trade being married for not being married. The loss of some things is worth it.[/me] I would say the something that keeps me warm at night is worth it
n_maher Posted November 26, 2007 Author Report Posted November 26, 2007 I would say the something that keeps me warm at night is worth it Agreed, I feel lucky that she puts up with all my crap and my audio insanity. There will come a time when my activities get curbed, no doubt about that.
grawk Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 My wife puts up with a ton. But with 4 kids, things are what they are
holland Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 But with 4 kids, things are what they are Hobbies...with 4 kids. Damn! You need an applause.
ph0rk Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 lame... I just know what things I'm not good at. DIY electronics is one of them, and I'm happy to support the builders that -are- good at it.
aerius Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Let's just say I don't subscribe to the "cleanliness is next to godliness" axiom...

Both of you are my idols! The downstairs of my bar is looking like this only with Lighting crap all over. on my desk all you see are neutrik male/female plugs, solder all over, and a shite load of cut dmx cable (or 485 data cable). around my desk are road cases and lights all over the place... i clean it once a month but by the 2nd day after being cleaned its back to where it was.
