Dusty Chalk Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 I've been watching this cat for what started out as a couple weeks, has evolved into several months, and I have now taken ownership. I've known her on and off through the years, but am only now taking full responsibility for her.
Salt Peanuts Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Congrats, Dusty! My gf and I have been wanting a new cat since our last one passed away, but thus far has not done so for various reasons. Your post is not making it any easier to find a new cat.
jinp6301 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 ZOMG prettiest kitty ever! I expect lots of home made LOLCATS from you!
SoFlaChris Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Nice cat. I miss my tabby. Looking for a Bengal. Good luck with her.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 Thanks, all! She's got a great personality, too -- my favourite memory of her is when my mom was watching my sister's cats for her, and I went over to visit them, and my mom was getting so frustrated with them that she had them locked in a room, and when I opened the door, she came bounding over to me and leapt in my arms. She's also a lap cat, which I miss -- my housemate's cat (whom I also help care for) isn't much of a lap cat. In fact, it took me over a year to get her used to being held without spazzing out.I expect lots of home made LOLCATS from you!Didn't even think of this -- I'll see what I can do.
en480c4 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Congrats! Name? Miss Kitty Fantastico, perhaps?
Dusty Chalk Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 She's gone by many names -- her official name is Luvbug, although lately we've been calling her "Bugaboo". I also took to calling her "Poopykins" when I was watching her for the first time.
bhjazz Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 You haven't been watching her at all...you've...you've been falling in love with her!!! Good job! She's a sweetie!
Chekhonte Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 that cat looks very sweet and lovable. I've been really thinking about getting my own cat after I move to portland in late spring next year.
boomana Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Very sweet looking kitty. I miss my cat. I've been thinking it's time to get another, but I'm not quite ready.
gloco Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 that cat looks very sweet and lovable. I've been really thinking about getting my own cat after I move to portland in late spring next year. Do it! We have cats and they help keep the apartment clean of pests...it's the best pest control you can get.
pabbi1 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Ah, new kitties are always a joy... ...well, except to the older guy...
Chekhonte Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Do it! We have cats and they help keep the apartment clean of pests...it's the best pest control you can get. Yeah I'm pretty sure that I will. I grew up with cats so they're will always be a soft spot in my heart for them. I've been looking at some the more emotionally stable pure bred variety like persians.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 Ah, new kitties are always a joy... ...well, except to the older guy... Raoul is gorgeous! He reminds me of Frank (I'll post a vid of Frank later), one of my other sister's cats. And the kittens are cute, too.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 22, 2007 Author Report Posted November 22, 2007 My other sister's cat, Frank, as a museum piece
deepak Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Cute cat Dusty, our new Head-Case mascot?
Dusty Chalk Posted November 22, 2007 Author Report Posted November 22, 2007 ...our new Head-Case mascot? I'll see if she likes headphones -- I have a feeling not, in which case, she could only be a mascot to that subset of people who prefer speakers.
pabbi1 Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Raoul loves my headphones - he will sit on my shoulder listening, then stand on the desk and rub against the earcups, depending on what I'm playing.
comfortably_numb Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Aww how cute, I miss my kitty more then I miss my ex (I stupidly gave her custody of kitty when we split :'( )
Dusty Chalk Posted November 22, 2007 Author Report Posted November 22, 2007 Comfortably_numb: I'm sorry to hear that. pabbi1: mebbe Raoul should be mascot, then? Can you get a shot of him wearing them?
pabbi1 Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 I'll give it a shot with the Lambdas - doubt I can get the light and photo background to line up, but you never know. He does have that air of 'Sorry about your thin skin', eh? Jay is the only one that I know that has captured cats actually wearing phones. As for my old kitties, I have them cremated, and sitting on my desk. One has been with me through 3 marriages - proof I CAN commit.
philodox Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Jay is the only one that I know that has captured cats actually wearing phones.Yeah, but what you don't see in my avatar is the hands holding him down. His mom is a bit more docile and didn't require such drastic measures. Feel free to LOLcat any of these pics, my wife would love it.
hYdrociTy Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 ZOMG SO MUCH FUZZ TO VISUALLY HUG (>'-')> <(. . )>
Chekhonte Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Man oh man those two cats a cute! I'm going to have to go down stairs and pet my roommates cat right now.
