Chekhonte Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 I bought this game a while ago and only last night had a chance to play it and it is fun. The single player that i've played feels like you're in a battle. Enemies are smart and take cover in a way that feels realistic your teams mates are on par with the enemies. I'm glad I spent the money and haven't ever tried the multiplayer yet. I'm going to get some friends over here this week and give it a try.
n_maher Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 I just wish I had a machine that could run it.
deepak Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Yup I would say CoD 4 or Bioshock for goty
Chekhonte Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 we haven't even seen mass effect yet and there are already quite a few contenders for GOTY. Think about what a mess this would be if metal gear 4, deevil may cry 4 and GTA4 had not been delayed!
Nanoha Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 In terms of GotY, which magazine/site do people usually refer to? IGN, EGM, Gamespy, Gamespot, PC Gamer?
Edwood Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 I think I'm officially done with the multiplayer, pretty much maxed out at Colonel II (Lv41). Only thing left is the Barrett 50 Cal Sniper, and I didn't like it all that much. It looks and sounds cool, but it's just too innaccurate. Besides, I'm a total Shotgun Whore now with the M1014. Don't know why they made it full auto, since the real thing is semi-auto. But whatever, it's a great room clearing tool. I loooooove it when people camp out in a building now. Now the Martydom Ass Grenades are just plain retarded. -Ed
1911 Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 wow..just wow....the single player feels just like your in a battle as a previous poster alluded to....awesome...the multiplayer feels like all the other shooting games...fun but nothing new..but the story line and graphics and using all the different weapons....makes me feel like i am in the us marines...kudos

I remember playing the demo and saying "holy shit"
ojnihs Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 picked up the game yesterday and i have to say, it's fucking great
JBLoudG20 Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Ok for a new buyer: PS3 or 360? Halo is pretty important, which is why I lean towards the Xbox... BUT the PS3 has blue-ray. Damn decisions.
tkam Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Both? Really though if games is your main concern the 360 has a much better selection.

grawk Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 360, but for weak sauce gamers, I'd say, get a PS3. So, get a PS3. of course xbox has hddvd, which is gonna win the war, so I wouldn't pick ps3 for bluray.
JBLoudG20 Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Both? Really though if games is your main concern the 360 has a much better selection. Yeah I'm really leaning toward a 360. But white will clash!
Edwood Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Yeah, I have the Elite, but not all components are available in black. Namely the HD-DVD drive. So it's more of an Oreo 360 themed system for me now. Although they do sell vinyl sticker kits to match the Elite's color. -Ed
grawk Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 They have a black model you know I wouldn't mind a black model, then I could be like deniro!
Edwood Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Well, the Elite isn't really black, it's more like an 80% gray at best. But close enough for most, I guess, but if you have a true black component next to it, you'll see the difference for sure.
tkam Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Finished up the single player campaign, and while it is a bit short it's damn intense. The flashback sniper level completely owns. Oh and the bonus level it's pretty sweet too.
