n_maher Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 I was thinking about doing a little UK Office marathon this weekend to ease the pain a bit. Maybe I'll do a US instead... I haven't worked out the details yet Your assignment was more BSG. Quote
hungrych Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Anyone else in Office withdrawal? :'( It's horrible! Quote
jinp6301 Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Arrested Development has sort of helped eased the pain of no Office. AD vs Office cage match who would win? Quote
deepak Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Your assignment was more BSG. How far are you into BSG? AD vs Office cage match who would win? Tough call. Quote
n_maher Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 How far are you into BSG?Nursing my way through season 1 still, don't want to rush it since it looks like there'll be a distinct lack of good TV this winter. Quote

n_maher Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 You have a lot of good times ahead of you Indeed, I'm loving it so far. I just don't want to pull a Deadwood and go through it too quickly. Quote
en480c4 Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 The long cold winter is over... Behold the warmth of the return of 30 Rock and The Office!!! It's weird to have something to look forward to on TV! Quote
deepak Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I've been watching lots of old episodes, can't wait Quote
en480c4 Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 Yeah, I watched the first episodes of S04 a few weeks ago, then watched S03, and am in the process of watching S04 again with a friend to get her up to speed. Can't wait for new episodes! Quote

en480c4 Posted April 11, 2008 Author Report Posted April 11, 2008 Wow. Just... Wow. That was UK Office uncomfortable at times. So very awkward. And I loved every minute of it. Quote
aardvark baguette Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Wall mounted plasma was amazing Quote
en480c4 Posted April 18, 2008 Author Report Posted April 18, 2008 That was amazing. Just amazing. Watching it again now. Michael is such an ass. His date was definitely a throwback to David Brent's dates in the Christmas ep of the UK office. Wendy's? Go Kevin and Andy! And Jim's fake-out was classic. Quote

en480c4 Posted April 18, 2008 Author Report Posted April 18, 2008 good episode tonight, not great IMO. the dinner party was much better. I disagree. I enjoyed this one a lot more, for a couple of reasons. The characters were much more believable, the shout-out to the UK version and while I loved the dinner party, it was a little over the top to be considered a top notch episode in my book. Don't get me wrong, I loved the dinner party, but this week's episode reminded me a lot of S02 with the Jim and Pam stuff, and stronger stories for the other office workers. Quote

To this date, I think it is the most tension-filled episode I've ever seen, which means I laughed the entire time, finally culminating in a huge, wonderful, "thats what she said". I concur that it was over the top, maybe I was just in the mood for over the top after so long without a new office. Quote
hungrych Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I thought they pulled out all the stops on the awkwardness for the dinner party episode to make up for all the time missed, and they certainly succeeded. Quote
ojnihs Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 so you guys think jim and pam is actually going to happen or do you think the writers are going to pull something? Quote
en480c4 Posted April 19, 2008 Author Report Posted April 19, 2008 so you guys think jim and pam is actually going to happen or do you think the writers are going to pull something? They better not pull anything. There's no need for every relationship on the show to be disfunctional. They need to just lt things happen. Quote
