JBLoudG20 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 K&K's boston creme donut sucks IMO x2
909 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Fresh out of the oven Krispy Kremes. aren't KK deep fried...
thrice Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I'll admit that I'm a northerner and I love the D&D, but going to a K&K to get "Hot Doughnuts Now" (glazed) down here in NC is like a religious experience man. And yes, D&D's BC is OMGWTFBBQ goodness as is their French Vanilla coffee.
thrice Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 aren't KK deep fried... I wouldn't say deep fried...they go into an oven like device and rise/cook...then they are floated in hot oil for about 30 seconds each side...then glaxed. They actually have some Krispy Kreme stores down here where you can watch hundreds of glaved doughnuts being born....then you can eat them hot off the conveyor belt.

philodox Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 I like Tim Hortons for coffee myself, but I'm canadian. Don't like donuts much for eating.
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Hey your not to only one with new donuts. My recabled rs-1's have been trapped in London for the past week. Picking them up this weekend. ^^ Biggie.
philodox Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 You're getting bagel pads for your RS-1s? But those aren't the kind of donuts I'm talking about. Though there is definately wood involed.
JBLoudG20 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Ahh donuts. Brings me back to the good old days before I got hurt. Nothing quite like the crack of the ball on a wood bat.
n_maher Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Huh? Donuts are also the weights that baseball players put on their bats to warm up. I assume that's what he's talking about.

philodox Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 Figured it was baseball, that makes sense.
philodox Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 Ok, the suspense is killing me...
Dusty Chalk Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 The wood is nice; the shape is rather..."um"...; but the light brown plastic is hideous. So...how do they sound?
JBLoudG20 Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 not a fan.. lets go back to talking baseball.
philodox Posted September 14, 2007 Author Report Posted September 14, 2007 What's wrong with the shape? They're ported. Not sure about the brown plastic myself, but that can be easily remedied. I don't actually have them yet, so no idea as to the sound except for what I've heard through the impressions I've read. I've wanted to try Ortho's for a while, and Steve's woodwork is impeccable... and these were tweaked by Wualta, and he is as much of a crazy mad scientist as Patrick, except that he is sane. That combined with the nice fit of the beyers and the L3000 earpads tells me that this should be a nice companion for my K340's.
