I almost PM'd him once to let him know that even if his price was in dollars he'd still be dreaming.

JBLoudG20
One can never find an AKG K-340 newer than this one. It still is in the styrofoam mold and still has the earcups' transparent protections. The price is 500 euros shipped anywhere in the world. I'll try to get a picture of the man-hug he'll probably give Ray when they see each other.

deepak
I've seen him buy a K1000 on ebay.de for peanuts (both grills had several dents) and tried to sell them for over $1000 without mentioning the dents. The reason I know is I asked him the serial number and matched it with the auction I was watching. He's done it a few times, surprised the admins haven't caught on. Yeah, it's pretty clear he's flipping for profit but he keeps the number of threads pretty low and therefore skates by.
Dusty Chalk
He's done it a few times, surprised the admins haven't caught on.Since when has there been a rule against "flipping" on Head-Fi? I think the mods' policy towards the for-sale forum is pretty much "buyer beware".
Dusty Chalk
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=256972Wait, he says it still has its plastic protectors, but there are several pics with the plastic protectors off -- so obviously they can be removed and replaced. I don't know how "NOS" that is.
Nanoha
Since when has there been a rule against "flipping" on Head-Fi? I think the mods' policy towards the for-sale forum is pretty much "buyer beware". http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=141474 You might surprised. This includes the selling of mass quantities (even small quantities) of manufactured/assembled items .... reselling of new items for profit .... flipping used items for profit ... DIY projects completed and immediately (within 6 months) sold at a profit....and/or multiples of the same item.
Dusty Chalk
Y'know, I actually remember that from back when I frequented Head-Fi. It's what got the group buys in trouble. So...since like forever.
