Dusty Chalk Posted February 19, 2023 Report Posted February 19, 2023 Main actress is the same as the one I was smitten with from Alchemy of Souls. Main actor is playing a handsome, charistmatic, eccentric, neurodivergent cat-lover. They accidentally move in together, not knowing they are opposite sexes. Hilarity and drama ensue.

That's something I'd enjoy, but I can't find it on Netflix by "Because this is my first life". Is that screenshot from another streamer?

I guess they're dubbing it into Spanish before streaming. I've set up a reminder so they'll let me know when available. Thank you! 1

Torpedo Posted February 19, 2023 Author Report Posted February 19, 2023 Thanks, Grahame. Some time ago I tried logging into my Netflix account using a VPN for the same reason, a movie that wasn't available yet, but the system didn't allow me for being my account from another country. Maybe it'd work now.
Grahame Posted February 19, 2023 Report Posted February 19, 2023 (edited) Indeed, used it to watch "Bank of Dave", in 4K HDR, from the UK, When it was supposed to be available in the US, but missed it's previously announced release date. https://www.netflix.com/us/title/81518575?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=cp&vlang=en&clip=81649953 Without VPN With VPN Edited February 19, 2023 by Grahame
TMoney Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 I watched the entire season of races, know everything that is coming, and yet this show still has me hooked with the unprecedented behind the scenes footage. Netflix does such a good job with this. 3
robm321 Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) Agreed, so well put together. They now have one for golf and tennis too. Edited February 25, 2023 by robm321
blessingx Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 12 hours of Charlemagne: Father of Europe (Prime, AppleTV, Kanopy, Great Courses). Now I need a nap. Here’s another version that will save you 11 hours and 50 minutes.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 27, 2023 Report Posted February 27, 2023 I got tired of watching Jung So-min getting heartbroken/harassed/dumped on/and worse, so I started The Recruit. This is great! It's like Jack Ryan except viewed through the Dr. Strangelove/Catch-22 filter.
Torpedo Posted March 3, 2023 Author Report Posted March 3, 2023 On Wednesday and yesterday I watched season 1. Today season 2. Entertaining, well made. Some silly unlikely technical and biological facts, but overall worth watching. 2
Voltron Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 I really like Slow Horses. We just watched Treason on Netflix and it has plenty of silly and highly unlikely plot elements but it was entertaining as well. 1
swt61 Posted March 5, 2023 Report Posted March 5, 2023 AHS season 11. Instead of dragging on, this season is my favorite yet. Without giving anything away, it takes place in NYC circa early 80's. Specifically the gay scene in NYC. So, lots of leather and a mysterious illness. 1
shellylh Posted March 5, 2023 Report Posted March 5, 2023 I’ve been watching “We own this city” on HBO. Hooked on it. https://www.hbo.com/we-own-this-city 1

You are taken on the journey, and some uncomfortable questions are asked, without seeming contrived or preachy. With "The War On Drugs", be careful what you wish for. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2022/apr/25/we-own-this-city-david-simon-show-baltimore . John Bernthal, a Harvard man, is a stand out as Wayne Jenkins, decidedly not a Harvard man. 1

I have an ex-work-colleague who's good friend was caught up in that crap, and he's in jail now. He wanted to be a MA State Trooper but was getting too old, so someone suggested he try for Baltimore PD. He got in, and stayed pretty clear of the bad crap. But it roped him up, in that he got calls by crooked cops asking him to bring a spare gun to a scene and the like. And even though he didn't, the records show he got those calls so he was included in the prosecutions. A really sad state of affairs.... 2 1
mikeymad Posted March 11, 2023 Report Posted March 11, 2023 .. I'm not crying and scared, you are... 1
TMoney Posted March 14, 2023 Report Posted March 14, 2023 ^ Any good? I love Mel B but I will admit to be pretty skeptical about the new show.
