Nice interview with Jenna Ortega....she talks about some music from the 70's/80's, many of which were mainstays in my musical playlists.... 1

blessingx Posted December 31, 2022 Report Posted December 31, 2022 I mentioned starting Fleishman Is In Trouble, but now that I’ve completed the limited series I gotta say it’s really something. Give it a shot. 1 1
TMoney Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 For All Mankind - Season 3 Every season I doubt this show and come to it way late in the game long after the entire season has played out. Every season it has surprised me. I’m about halfway through season 3, which involves a 3-way race to Mars between the US, USSR, and a private company. I’m loving it. Is this the best hard sci-fi show currently in production? I think the answer might be “yes”. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Alchemy of Souls, this show is ridiculously great. Spoiler Part 2 Episode 7, one of the most touching moments is when one of the characters says, "pffft". I am completely serious -- I practically burst into tears. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted January 15, 2023 Report Posted January 15, 2023 Inside Man -- I had no idea this was a morbid comedy (amongst other things), this after just watching David Tennant in Criminal, season 1 episode 1, which is not a comedy AT ALL.

I'm two chapters away from finishing this second season. I'm finding it less histrionic than the first one, and more Shakespearean and subtle. jpelg Posted January 17, 2023 Report Posted January 17, 2023 The Recruit (Netflix) - looking for a light, humorous easy-to-watch spy series? Check! Many likeable characters & an overarching season storyline that keeps you interested. The episode acronym titles are a hoot too. 1

Binged the first series this weekend. Great show. The entire cast is great & should be getting more hype beyond just JAW who just won a Golden Globe. Well-curated soundtrack too. 1
spritzer Posted January 23, 2023 Report Posted January 23, 2023 I watched the entire season on a flight to the US recently and I got PTSD from it... yeah it is very accurate in places. 3

It was excellent, Have to admit that Emily Blunt is a bit of a crush of mine. Series 3 of Happy Valley is also excellent. 1
blessingx Posted January 24, 2023 Report Posted January 24, 2023 In case you haven't heard, Lil Dicky is returning in season three of Dave in April. 1
TMoney Posted January 24, 2023 Report Posted January 24, 2023 I'm biased, as the games are some of my all-time favorites, but the show seems to be off to a very good start. I'm impressed how they've adapted it to TV. Apparently about half the creative team has played the games and the other half has not. That feels like a good balance. 5
MoonShine Posted January 24, 2023 Report Posted January 24, 2023 ^ Have not played the game but am enjoying the show, especially the intros to the first 2 episodes. 1
jpelg Posted January 27, 2023 Report Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) Started Poker Face (Peacock) starring Natasha Lyonne: Love her. Edited January 27, 2023 by jpelg 5 1
Torpedo Posted January 28, 2023 Author Report Posted January 28, 2023 Just finished The Bear At the beginning it was a bit slow, then it gets better but you need to endure to make it to the last episode. In the end it was worth watching. They leave it open to a season 2, maybe that's why this wasn't just a movie. 2
Voltron Posted January 30, 2023 Report Posted January 30, 2023 If you haven't seen this skit, it is must see TV! 6
Torpedo Posted January 30, 2023 Author Report Posted January 30, 2023 ^What was it? YT isn't showing that video in my country, not even in their website.
