Absorbine_Sr Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Had a la gloria, earlier. I'm not 100 percent sure that smoking in my apartment was a good idea, even with all the windows open (I won't know until the next time I have a guest over), but it sure was a nice cigar. I personally think that the remnant room note is rather nice, myself. It's your place and if the remnant note pleases you, then feck anyone else. IMHO.
tyrion Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Those may have been my favorites...when I smoked.
luvdunhill Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 i am currently smoking a 50 year old tin of Bengal Slices in my 60 year old GBD pipe. ah man. this is pleasure. Nice! I have a pair of Xicar scissors that have become misaligned.. Amy idea how good thier warantee is? Oh and a Cohiba Dom from Mike
luvdunhill Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Really impressed with the Cohiba Dom.. Wondering now if my Cubans might be fakes, despite purchasing them personally overseas..
tyrion Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I loved the Cohiba Dom. I'm smoking some St. Louis Ribs.
Voltron Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I loved the Cohiba Dom. I'm smoking some St. Louis Ribs. I thought you quit smoking. Cigars, not meat.
Voltron Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I did quit smoking and the ribs sucked. And so did my reading comprehension. Sorry about the ribs though.
postjack Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 had a Ghurka Park Avenue 44. it burned very unevenly, but was pleasant enough otherwise. mild and creamy. i got one of these in a newbie humidor buy. like $15 for a 20 count humi plus a handful of newbie sticks. the guys at cigar asylum always rip gurkha but i had a symphony a long time ago and liked it. mild and creamy, like you describe the park avenue. i'm about to have a bowl of 4noggins.com Bald Headed Teacher
postjack Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 the Bald Headed Teacher was pretty good. a real easy smoke, mild with a pleasant aftertaste. not sweet like I usually go for but I like it. I like a pipe because it's a much easier commitment then a cigar. but I like a cigar because they are little works of tobacco art.
postjack Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 i can dig that. i think it's much more difficult to smoke a pope beautifully than it is to do the same with a cigar, though. absolutely, I never even imagined how much would go into just loading a bowl until I tried the first time. a cigar is a cinch by comparison. just snip, torch, puff. it is nice to be able to just set down a bowl and come back to it later.
Voltron Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 i can dig that. i think it's much more difficult to smoke a pope beautifully than it is to do the same with a cigar, though. Smoking the pope sounds nasty. And sacrilegious.
postjack Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 yep, that is definitely one of the great things about a pipe. you can also just put it in your pocket, if you are out walking around and you want to enter a no smoking establishment, and the pipe will extinguish as quickly as you please. that maneuver only rarely sets your trousers on fire. also you can use the fiery ash to attack the pope. just like "wham" all over his vestments. what up pope?
grawk Posted October 9, 2010 Author Report Posted October 9, 2010 el Rico maduro (from the Danjam box) while watching Thomas mow the hill.
naamanf Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Don Peppin Series JJ Salomon in the morning at the Baghdad air terminal and a Cain F maduro in Kuwait. Hopefully will be a R&J petite Churchill on my deck with Kona coffee in a couple days
Voltron Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 What the hell? You've been dark and now you're in Kuwait on the way home? That is cool.
luvdunhill Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Trinidad. Wasn't expecting such a tight draw..
manaox2 Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 I've been smoking Padron 3000s lately. I like, need to make a new humidor now.
luvdunhill Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 After packing some goodies for Jacb while drunk, thereby increasing chances of a rather wet package upon delivery, I had a fucking brilliant idea. Absinthe flavored pipe tobacco. Do it Reks.
The Expanding Man Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Partagas Serie D No 4. This one has about 3 years in the humidor. Cream, a touch of vanilla and the odd hint of caramel. The draw is a bit tight, which might be down to dampness. Very nice, overall.
