EdipisReks1 Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 Dunhill The Aperitif in my Parker. 2
EdipisReks1 Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Some Dunhill Durbar, in my 40s vintage Savinelli KS. It's a cool, long smoke, but less flavorful than I remember. The two hours the bowl lasted was great for catching up on some podcasts, though, this evening. Perfect fine grey ash to the bottom, though it took a little bit of work to get it to stay lit, at top. EdipisReks1 Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 I just smoked some aged GL Pease Key Largo out of my Savinelli Autograph. What a good smoke. Nearly a decade of aging has made this tastier and tastier.

luvdunhill Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 I ordered a box of panatelas to try Funny, I just ordered two (of the MC that is) [emoji4] Not that you will be able to keep them around, but they definitely have a nice caramel flavor when aged a bit. Ah, you mean the actual panatelas. You should compare with the Montecarlos, I can send you some next time I hit the Post Office:
grawk Posted September 29, 2017 Author Report Posted September 29, 2017 Funny you should mention Montecristos Montecristo No. 4 Por Larrañaga Panetelas (25) Oh monte carlo! Misread. I'd definitely appreciate that. They were out of the monte carlos when I ordered.
luvdunhill Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 How does it taste in SF?Old and antiquated
swt61 Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 I hope so, or I'd never get any dates! 1
luvdunhill Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 It’s a good thing Al. Case in point: Old Cohiba band sans holograms - old and antiquated. 1
EdipisReks1 Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Oh man, Maison Surrenne! Too bad the price went up. I haven't had a cigar since late summer of 2017. I need to fix that.
luvdunhill Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Oh man, Maison Surrenne! Too bad the price went up. I haven't had a cigar since late summer of 2017. I need to fix that. This is also the single still version, Maison Surrenne Galtaud, which was about double the cheaper stuff. Glad to supply if you are after something I have
EdipisReks1 Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Oh, man: I am after anything that is funky and flavorful! The Galtaud sounds great. It's not actually stupidly expensive, or anything, I just have this thing about liquors that used to be cheap. It's why I don't buy Highland Park 12, anymore, because I used to be able to get it for $25 a bottle.
EdipisReks1 Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Durbar again, in the same pipe. The wife is away for the evening (funny how I last smoked a pipe, this same combination, exactly a week before I met her), and I felt like a bit of smoke. The first in a while. This is fantastic tobacco. I’m glad I have a couple tins, as it hasn’t been made in ages.
luvdunhill Posted April 16, 2019 Report Posted April 16, 2019 2009 Lusi. Would smoke again. Will smoke again. 1
