aerius Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 and pick some cotton. You mean cotton grows on plants or something? I learn something new every day...
grawk Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 You mean cotton grows on plants or something? I learn something new every day... Naw, cotton comes in rolls from egypt. They have factories there or something. Pick it, as in select it
aerius Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Naw, cotton comes in rolls from egypt. They have factories there or something. Pick it, as in select it Ah! That's what I thought. Cause when I see cotton it's always in rolls or balls, thus I thought it's just like polyester or nylon where they make it in a factory somewhere. Good to see I'm not mistaken in my beliefs.
aerius Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 it grows on plants. i'm guessing you never studied the American Civil War... What??!! You mean Grawk wasn't telling me the whole truth? And no, I can't say I've studied the American civil war, as I'm not American, but I do know a little bit about it.
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 You mean cotton grows on plants or something? I learn something new every day... You better be joking bitch.. Biggie.
postjack Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 The K340 is much faster then the HD650, and its midrange is richer and more alive.
philodox Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 The K340 is much faster then the HD650, and its midrange is richer and more alive.Damn straight!
JBLoudG20 Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 The K340 is much faster then the HD650, and its midrange is richer and more alive. I'd agree with that sentiment. Now sell your 650, and buy a new source and a L3K. Then sell the 340, RS-1, and w5k.
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 They still arn't that fast. Biggie.
postjack Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 They still arn't that fast. Biggie. maybe not RS-1 fast.
n_maher Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 I reterminated my 340s last night to try and fix some of the butchery that was done by the previous modder who saw fit to terminate them with an 1/8" plug. Turns our they are wired with stranded silver, yikes that couldn't have been a cheap cable even though it looks like poop.
n_maher Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Reuse the wire bitch! Not sure if I can, it's a pretty short cable (6') and hellaciously microphonic. I'd like to dope slap whoever built it. For now it stays on the cans since I don't have time to deal with it properly. If it comes off I'll make 20 $200 mini-minis from it and retire rnB style!
philodox Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 lol, well you can use it for wiring an amp or making some IC's I guess.
postjack Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Anyone tried the K340 with velour pads?
n_maher Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Anyone tried the K340 with velour pads? I have the velour pads, just haven't tried them yet. They sure look comfy.
boomana Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Anyone tried the K340 with velour pads? I have velour pads on my modded pair. They are much more comfy and offer a better seal, but these things leak more than any closed headphone I know.
postjack Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Thanks for the impressions. Anybody know where to buy some velour pads?
philodox Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 It's a pain in the ass since the AKG rep is so hard to get ahold of. I don't have the info since I always get swt61 to place my orders, but I'm sure someone in here does. Might be worth your while to order a K501 headband as well, they look and feel a lot nicer IMO.
boomana Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Thanks for the impressions. Anybody know where to buy some velour pads? They are AKG part # 2955Z2601 and can be bought for around $13 each (don't remember exactly). Frank Rodriguez Sales/Parts Administrator Harman Pro North America 8500 Balboa Blvd Northridge, CA 91329 Ph: 818-920-3279 Fax: 818-920.3208 I left a couple phone messages and got not response. I finally faxed a request, and he called me right back. I had the pads about two weeks later. I don't know if anyone has an email address. I never did.
nsuttitinagul Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I found his email address: [email protected] I ordered the K340 velour pads from him. The price has gone up to $27.93USD + shipping per pair.
postjack Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Welcome to head-case, nsuttinganul!
Fitz Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 I found the velour pads stiffer and less comfortable myself.
Fitz Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 ZOMG TEH KIRBSTER. Despite xand1x's attempts to keep me away in the past with his extreme hate, I've decided to pop on over here too.
