hungrych Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 My three flavors of Bacon Salt arrived today (original, hickory, and peppered). I bought some fries and put some original on. First off all it doesn't stick very well. But more importantly it doesn't taste very good either... very "mesquitey". Tastes kind of like bacon, but crappy bacon. I'm earth-shatteringly disappointed... :'(
hungrych Posted August 2, 2007 Author Report Posted August 2, 2007 Flavor of the month really applies here...
Dusty Chalk Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 First off all it doesn't stick very well. Yeah, nothing sticks to fries very well. They have to be fresh out of the deep fat fryer, I.E. still wet.
deepak Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Is there a phone number you can complain to? Perhaps point them to this thread
hungrych Posted August 2, 2007 Author Report Posted August 2, 2007 I dunno, I'm still gonna give the other flavors a shot, and try it on both popcorn and ramen. Plus it hasn't burned in yet after all.
JBLoudG20 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 try it on pancakes! And tacos! And pizza! And broccoli! And yogurt! Damn tehre are so many applications!

mulveling Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I think your food system probably isn't at a level for Bacon Salt to really perform. First you'll definitely need to upgrade your meats, dairy, nuts, and fresh fruits. Then you should probably upgrade your silverware. Surely you're not just eating this stuff off of plastic or paper?? After that we can talk tables, centerpieces, and interior lighting. Then you MIGHT be ready to see bacon salt really shine.

qazwsx Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 What do you expect? It's called Bacon Salt. Soda salt would probably taste like a broke Diet Pepsi meets Dr. Pepper expired.

They recommend putting half the bottle in your mouth and keeping it there over night every night for a couple months.
aerius Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 I thought Bacon Salt was some kind of Head-case in-joke, then I looked it up on Google and found to my horror that it actually does exist.
