Dusty Chalk Posted April 15, 2018 Report Posted April 15, 2018 Lost in Space -- I really like reboots like this. I approve. Oh, and hey, look, it's Parker Posey. And Molly Parker (whom I know from Deadwood and House of Cards). 1
jpelg Posted April 18, 2018 Report Posted April 18, 2018 Killing Eve (BBC network) - a fantastically fun look into the mind of a killer-for-hire with zero empathy & the people charged with tracking her down. Also Lost in Space (Netflix reboot), which I am enjoying immensely as well. 2
tkam Posted April 19, 2018 Report Posted April 19, 2018 Finished Mr Robot season 2 Starting on new season of Bosch 2

rfan8312 Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Life Avoided this for ages for no reason at all, recently got a subscription to Starz channel on Prime video and saw that it was available. Starting Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson. For someone into this kind of sci-fi creature film I thought it was an intense ride that did not let up once it got going. Really cool. Grahame Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) Eurovision 2018, because: Eurovision 2018. The official videos of the #1 and #2 songs give you the songs. But don't capture The performances they put on at the final. The rehearsals give you an idea ... and for the full list .. Edited May 14, 2018 by Grahame
TMoney Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) I realize I'm a couple of decades late to this party, but I saw The Larry Sanders Show was streaming on HBOGO and decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did, it is F#$%ing hilarious! Edited May 14, 2018 by TMoney 2
Dusty Chalk Posted June 10, 2018 Report Posted June 10, 2018 So great -- love the atmosphere and the ambience and the dynamics and the ebb and flow and ... and... and... This might be the single greatest thing they've done (IMHO).
rfan8312 Posted June 10, 2018 Report Posted June 10, 2018 I realize I'm a couple of decades late to this party, but I saw The Larry Sanders Show was streaming on HBOGO and decided to give it a shot. TMoney Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 I started watching The Staircase on Netflix and I am HOOKED! It is an awesome documentary for true crime fans.
swt61 Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 I've been watching Black Mirror. Really interesting... Kind of a high tech Twilight Zone. 2
TMoney Posted July 5, 2018 Report Posted July 5, 2018 Started watching James Clavell's Shogun. It is a lot better than I thought it'd be. I love that almost the entire cast only speaks Japanese.
CD44hi Posted July 6, 2018 Report Posted July 6, 2018 Half way through The Terror -- AMC series. I read the book a few years ago. Series is extremely well done 1
ironbut Posted July 15, 2018 Report Posted July 15, 2018 Binged season 1 of The Sinner on Netflix. Worth it IMHO and a real feather in Jessica Biel's cap. Looking forward to season 2.
rfan8312 Posted July 16, 2018 Report Posted July 16, 2018 I've been watching Black Mirror. Really interesting... Kind of a high tech Twilight Zone.Freaking love some Black Mirror. Some of the episodes miss the mark with me a but that's ok because each episode is a completely different story with different characters entirely, but some of them are really good. The entire history of you and USS Callister are wonderful. It really is like today's version of The Twilight Zone. Half way through The Terror -- AMC series. I read the book a few years ago. Series is extremely well doneSo good. I waited for months for this, as soon as I saw the trailer. This show is just dropping with atmosphere and looks and feels so authentic to that time. The show is exactly what I hoped it would be. I'm usually not into series shows at all but this is right up my alley. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk

Dusty Chalk Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 And the debate mentioned in the documentary in its entirety: I think Polly Toynbee says something most insightful: "I think it's extraordinarily rare for the religious to be funny, or to be funny about their religion, or even about anybody else's. I think there is a great humour vacuum at the heart of all religion." 1
Hopstretch Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 Polly Toynbee must not have met many folk of the Jewish persuasion. 4

robm321 Posted September 7, 2018 Report Posted September 7, 2018 Funny, I was just thinking - I need to watch that again. I enjoyed it better than Burt's more famous films. 1

's'truth, I didn't think of that until later. I was thinking mostly the various Christian varieties and Muslim. But the statement was in the context of the controversy surrounding Life of Brian.

Dusty Chalk Posted September 23, 2018 Report Posted September 23, 2018 Perfect lazy Sunday afternoon entertainment Also: I've never seen her before, only ever listened to her, didn't realize she was so pretty. I honestly did not care about that when I discovered and fell in love with her music.
