I watched the entire Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy miniseries from 1979 (Sir Alec Guinness)...Good stuff, makes me miss shows like Rubicon, but I totally didn't catch Sir Patrick Stewart...Might hafta start over:)...

Then the Worricker Trillogy...Rekindled my love affair with Winona Ryder...She's so...squirrelly(?) & creepy in it, but <3 <3 <3...

Editing because it turns out Stewart lost his hair at age 19, but used to wear toupees in many acting roles (pre Star Trek) - which he might well have done in TTSS.

Altered Carbon.  It's better than I would have thought it would be, but I think they made some mistakes with the backstory changes.

I agree with your latter point, Jacob.  I've been listening to the audiobook in parallel and overall it makes more sense and is simply better.  That said, I've been enjoying the heck out of the show too.

Finished Jessica Jones.

Holy shit, best season of the whole franchise.  For me, it just took off with episode 8 and didn't stop until the season was done.  What a fucking ride.

Fucking dark, too.  This is not a feel-good...well, anything.

I do want to try Tin Cup now, though.  And can I just say?  There was some damn fine acting.  Trinity plays a damn fine lecherous lesbian.

Oh lol ok thanks. I guess its part of Jessica Jones.

She drinks the stuff, but it's real whisky.  I think she also drinks Jim Beam or Jack Daniels, too, but I've already tried the stuff.

I also finished Jessica Jones this week.  Enjoyed it immensely!  Definitely dark.  It's hard to  imagine anyone other than Krysten Ritter in the part.  She has it nailed.

Very interesting what they did with Carrie-Anne Moss'  character.

Binged "JJ"  season 2 this past week as well. I love Ritter as the titular character & can't imagine anyone else playing her. The season itself is about 2.5 eps too long imo, as with all the other Netflix/Marvel series'. But still

It's a pretty enjoyable show.  The story changes don't irritate me too much, given that it's been a LONG time since I read the books (when they were new).

Santa Clarita Diet -- this show is the BEST!  I love black comedies.

Watched season 1 last week, and binged season 2 today. Love this show!

Olyphant & Barrymore are perfect, as are all the supporting cast. Using the "zombie-ism" as a metaphor for the main couple dealing with mid-life changes & acceptance is brilliant.

Yeah, need to start season 2, thanks for the...not reminder, since I remember, but...perhaps “prompt”.

Second time around, “Atomic Blond” or is it the triple... see what I did...

Brilliant use of Voices Carry

“I'm in the dark, I'd like to read his mind
But I'm frightened of the things I might find
Oh, there must be something he's thinking of
To tear him away-a-ay
When I tell him that I'm falling in love
Why does he say-a-ay
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Uh-ah
I try so hard not to get upset
Because I know all the trouble I'll get
Oh, he tells me tears are something to hide
And something to fear-eh-eh
And I try so hard to keep it inside
So no one can hear
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Uh-ah
Oh!
He wants me, but only part of the time
He wants me, if he can keep me in line
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, shut up now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, darling, she might overhear
Hush, hush - voices carry
He said shut up - he said shut up
Oh God can't you keep it down
Voices carry
Hush hush, voices carry
I wish he would let me talk”

Debbie and I started watching season one of Santa Clarita Diet last night. We were pretty amazed. Will be binging more soon.

Too lazy to scan back, but did anyone else love Happy on SyFy?

You Were Never Really Here.
What the fucking fuck? Fuck!
Just IMDB'd it, wow Joaquin Phoenix in a head trip of a plot. Looks pretty freakin' good if the director did a good job with it.

Into the Badlands -- martial arts of the completely unrealistic school, lots of wirework, swordplay, post-post-apocalyptic society, barren and windswept wastelands, a 5 ring Chinese broadsword, Nick Frost, plenty of hot chicks and gruesome violent deaths, what more could a boy want?
