Sherwood Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Dark Matter -- I love the writing on this show:I rolled my eyes through every second of it. But I did watch every second of it. Edited October 11, 2015 by Sherwood
Dusty Chalk Posted October 12, 2015 Report Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) I rolled my eyes through every second of it. But I did watch every second of it.Exactly. Sometimes I enjoy nee crave that kind of writing.Although......when they're being marched with the soldiers in episode...12?, and the Marauder asks, "where are you?" "On our way to dinner, apparently" sounded like they were making fun of the soldiers' uniforms. Edited October 14, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
Dusty Chalk Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Finished Dark Matter Are you kidding me? Are you fucking kidding me?!?!?Also caught up on iZombie, Castle (new season started a couple weeks ago), and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (two episodes into the new season).Got Gotham to catch up on. Also:What the fucking fuck?I was really enjoying that last episode. The Mexican standoff in the corridor was actually really great. Until the end. Well, at least it was different. Dusty Chalk Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Gotham: The way Joker played Russian Roulette was fucking brilliant!EDIT: Different episode: Aw, man, I was really liking that character. Edited October 24, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
Dusty Chalk Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Argh -- too many shows: Arrow, The Flash, iZombie, Castle, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Gotham, maybe The Muppets...and presumably Doctor Who is going to resume at some point, I didn't miss that, too, did I? I don't even have time to catch up on my "wait 'til the DVDs come out" shows -- Game of Thrones, Continuum, Lost Girl, etc. -- and the upcoming AKA Jessica Jones. Edited October 24, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
n_maher Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 You missed Supergirl, though technically it hasn't started yet.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) I'm really liking it. I love the turn on a dime from light to somber to downright dark...Yeah, I'll add Supergirl, that's a must-see, thank you for that. And I need to start watching One Punch Man. (It's on Hulu -- hooray!) Edited October 25, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
Dusty Chalk Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) Thanks -- I was expecting there to be another in-theater season debut. I know what I'm doing over the next several days.Oh, and add Man in the High CastleFuck this, I need to cull. Edited October 25, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
Dusty Chalk Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 This last episode of Doctor Who (The Zygon Inversion) is my favourite one yet. That scene in the room with the two boxes -- just a high point for me. Of acting, of writing, of pointedness. Just superb. Also, One Punch Man is just a fantastic sendup of the superhero genre.
guzziguy Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I've been going through the Farscape series. It's no Firefly but has been getting more interesting in the 3rd year.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 The culling: Muppets -- you're right, Nate, my time is just to valuable to waste watching for such little return in the funneh.Supergirl -- sorry, but this is unwatchable. Maybe if I was a girl.I am interested and subscribe:iZombie -- just superb -- they made a Veronica Mars reference in the 3rd episode of this season (Real Dead Housewife of Seattle), plus, they brought back Peyton.Gotham -- man do I ever have mixed feelings about this. The actor/character who plays the penguin just irks me with his over-the-top-ness, bit then they turn around and pulll something like killing Jerome or Kristen...man! I love being surprised.Doctor WhoStill watching, but not sure I can justify all of them, but don't know which to cull, neither:The Flash, Arrow, Castle
n_maher Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 Sadly I agree - I gave Supergirl through part of Ep3 and it's just not holding my interest.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 I agree -- I knew part way through the first episode, I was just trying to give them a fair shake.
en480c4 Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 You're the Worst. It's the best. Wildly inappropriate. Great cast. Such a fun to binge on... Catching up on Season 1 on Hulu. 2

Catching up on Season 1 on Hulu. This show is AMAZING! I hate that they're not showing S2 on Hulu day after, since it moved to FXX or whatever. I think most of the people here would love it.**BRENT**
en480c4 Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 This show is AMAZING! I hate that they're not showing S2 on Hulu day after, since it moved to FXX or whatever. I think most of the people here would love it.**BRENT**It really is great. I'm fortunate enough to have a family member's Xfinity sign-in information for the FX app on the AppleTV so Season 2 is available there. We also started watching Mr. Robot. I really enjoyed the pilot. One of my favorite TV writers has raved about The Americans, You're the Worst and Mr. Robot, and while I'm late to the table on the last two, he's definitely 3 for 3. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I loved Mr. Robot, easily my favourite new show.
manaox2 Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I loved Mr. Robot, easily my favourite new show.Wish they hadn't gone with Amazon exclusive. Can't stream it with hulu plus because of no cable. Not paying $44 to watch on Amazon when I have prime. I'll just have to wait.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) $44? I paid $17, I think (for SD, either that or $25 for HD).Me: Arrow -- it was really nice seeing Constantine do a crossover episode. Edited November 13, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
en480c4 Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Mr. Robot was another that was made possible through the good will of an Xfinity login on the USA app on the AppleTV!
VPI Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 Into the Badlands. Lots of good Ninja shit.
ironbut Posted November 18, 2015 Report Posted November 18, 2015 Watching Conan visit Armenia (very funny) and an ad for Cover Girl Cosmetics Star Wars Collection just about floored me! I'm going to Macy's to see their counter girls when I go Xmas shopping for sure!
