emelius Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 the return of White Collar tonight... my sister says she used our last name for an art gallery...Tiffani Thiessen tried to pronounce it correctly...she (my sister) might get a writers' assistant credit too...
deepak Posted June 7, 2011 Author Report Posted June 7, 2011 i'm sure it would sound fine to most Americans. it sounds... less than brilliant to me. i watch at least as much British programming as i do American, i have a pretty good ear for quite a few accents (outside of the North, anyway). It doesn't sound far off from a Chelsea accent to me. I blew through 3 seasons of Parks and Recreation the last few weeks, I love this show.
mikeymad Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 No matter how many times I watch it... This movie rocks....
NightWoundsTime Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 (edited) Just watched the new South Park. Most beautiful goddamn depressing thing they've ever done. Highly recommended for those who can take deep meaningful feces humor. Streaming now: http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s15e07-youre-getting-old Edited June 10, 2011 by NightWoundsTime
Dusty Chalk Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Not watching right now, but had to share this about Community -- Dan Harmon smart. Favorite quote so far (although it does nothing to show how smart Dan Harmon is, I just like the story that led up to it):And the male writers across the board, from top to bottom, in their most private moments drinking with me, when they’re fully licensed to be as misogynist, reactive, old-boy-network as they want, all they can say is, “This turned out to be a great thing.” And tell me you don't find yourself reading that eventually in Jeff's voice.
Salt Peanuts Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 (edited) Stanley Cup Final I really appreciate that these games start at 8pm and not at 9pm. Edited June 11, 2011 by Salt Peanuts
mikeymad Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Le Mans - 3 hours down - 21 hours to go... going to see how long I can watch it...
NightWoundsTime Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Not watching right now, but had to share this about Community -- Dan Harmon smart. Dude wrote a thesis on his own show... unique. I love his own self-loathing on the lamer episodes. A friend of mine came in once while I was watching one of the real first season duds, right as they hit the "contrived third act dance scene". I had to sit him down and make him watch the first paintball episode to save my reputation.
deepak Posted June 14, 2011 Author Report Posted June 14, 2011 Stanley Cup Final I really appreciate that these games start at 8pm and not at 9pm. Looking good so far
Dusty Chalk Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 They put the 'FU..C' in dysfunctional. Me: finally started Arrested Development -- holyfuckshit, why did I wait so long? Haven't even finished the first episode, and I'm already in .
grawk Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 Voltron Force premieres on nick toons tonight at 8:30
Dusty Chalk Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 Bolt -- gawd, I love this movie. Especially the first 20 minutes. love the 'tink' @ 9:25
blessingx Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Nine episodes of Game of Thrones this weekend.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Bluebeard -- mostly because it expires from Netflix streaming in a day or two. EDIT: This is pretty amazing -- the main actresses are: 17, 16, 6, & 5. So the director is mostly working with brats.
NightWoundsTime Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 Just finished the finale of Star Trek: TNG. That's checked off the list finally. I think The Wire will be next, after a short break for other time wasting persuits
grawk Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 there is a non-BBC version? starz version comes out really soon
Dusty Chalk Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 This might be my favorite video ever. Amusing concept, executed self-deprecatingly humorously. Well, well, well, if it isn't James Van Der Douche. I don't appreciate you slanderbeaking my name, Keh-dollar-sign-(beat)-ha.
