naamanf Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I have been watching all of Lost over the last couple weeks. Pretty stupid with horrible characters but for some reason I keep watching it. I love how everything is filmed in Hawaii and it's pretty obvious:palm: Also catching up with Breaking Bad, Entourage, Justified, and Hung. Waiting for next season of Californication, Weeds, Burn Notice, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Party Down, and Sparticus. I don't watch much TV at home so I have plenty to watch while deployed.
spritzer Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Burn Notice is on right now and Party Down just finished its second season in case you didn't know...
naamanf Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Burn Notice is on right now and Party Down just finished its second season in case you didn't know... Should be downloaded within the week To bad Party Down was put down.
spritzer Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 To bad Party Down was put down. It's a damn shame...
jinp6301 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 As my friend noted, I want to eat that octopus to gain its powers
mypasswordis Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 i think that just might work, i have gained the power to chew on grass by eating parts of cows, and the power to vegetate on my couch by eating vegetables.
Grahame Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 And it couldn't have happened to a nicer team, if I may say so. If only there was a word for feeling a kind of guilty joy at someone else's misfortune?
spritzer Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Woot, congrats to our Spanish friends!!! I would have liked to see Germany Vs. Holland if just for the deep rooted hatred which they have for each other...
Grahame Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Yep, There would have been plenty of "Can I have My Bike Back, Please?" Banners The Longest Days: Can I have my bike back please?
Sherwood Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 If only there was a word for feeling a kind of guilty joy at someone else's misfortune? Too good. Just too good.
Torpedo Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Finished watching Germany lose to Spain Viva Spanieland! damn octopus Woot, congrats to our Spanish friends!!! I would have liked to see Germany Vs. Holland if just for the deep rooted hatred which they have for each other... Thank you mates For a team which always played quite well but never won anything -until 2008's Euro Cup-, being in the World Cup finals after beating Germany playing the way they did... is simply awesome.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) damn octopusAnimals: Octopus Steals Video Camera Explained : Video : Discovery News I still think the octopus was thinking, "whee!" at the end there. Edited July 8, 2010 by Dusty Chalk
jinp6301 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Just finished watching the octopus be right. Go Germany!
Grahame Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Very entertaining game. Does this cephalopod Paul the Octopus have a future in fund management?
Salt Peanuts Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Where the Wild Things Are. i never read the book as a child (not to brag, but i was reading "real" books when this book was popular with my classmates). seeing the movie, i kinda wish i had. How did you like the movie? I've been meaning to watch it, but I keep forgetting about it.
Craig Sawyers Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Tour de France. There have been more riders on the deck this year than I can ever remember. It is basically the riding wounded. Tyler Farrar has been riding with a broken wrist, keeping in there until it heals up, which it seems to be. Frank Schleck ended up in hospital with 8 bolts holding his shoulder together. High speed carnage. Now they are in the mountains - so hot that the roads are melting and the guys are wearing ice collars to keep core temp low enough.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 How did you like the movie? I've been meaning to watch it, but I keep forgetting about it.Not Jacob, but: It's an amazing technical accomplishment. "Brings the book to life" does not convey what an amazing visual feat it was. As to whether or not it was faithful to the book, I'm with Jacob: couldn't tell you. Seemed a bit angsty, but I suspect the book was as well.
emelius Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 World Cup Final...then back to the British Grand Prix...
