Only connection we have right now is Amazon Prime Video, it's interesting to see what they do have. That tall blonde is one of my hollywood crushes, no question. 2

I'm recommending the 7-11 diet and Keeping up with the Kardashians running on a repeat loop, stat! Let's bring him back stateside!
ironbut Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 Ozark on Netflix. With Jason Bateman and Laura Linney who are excellent but maybe the younger co-stars of this crime drama are stealing the show. Loving it so far. 3
swt61 Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 Holey shit! How did I not hear of this? It seems I have my Saturday planned out now. Thanks Steve!
Fitz Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 Looks interesting. I really need to get caught up on Better Call Saul before I start anything new though.
EdipisReks1 Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 I just found out (rather belatedly, since it was announced in May) that Quarry isn't getting a second season. That sucks.
Fitz Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 I don't even think I've heard of that (me, under rock, remember). Is it good?

Fitz Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 True enough but it could be a meh show you just personally happen to like anyways. C'mon describe it and sell it to me.
EdipisReks1 Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 It's hyper violent and sexual and extremely well acted and written and set in the 70s and immaculately made, and an Otis Redding album is a major plot point. 1
Fitz Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 Jesus, I want it. Is it on netflix or should I look to bootleg sources?

Grahame Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 (edited) More info: https://deadline.com/2017/05/quarry-canceled-cinemax-one-season-1202104986/ On Amazon, but not prime. So Season 1 Blu-ray is cheaper than HD VOD, unless you took the 7 day Cinemax free trial to binge watch it (and other stuff) EDIT: It appears available from the "Usual Suspects" as well .. https://marinet.bibliocommons.com/item/show/2254139113_quarry Edited July 26, 2017 by Grahame

Dusty Chalk Posted July 30, 2017 Report Posted July 30, 2017 I caught up on Preacher season 2 -- what a weird show. What a great, weird show. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 Wet Hot American Summer, 10 Years Later (aka season 2) 2
Grahame Posted August 10, 2017 Report Posted August 10, 2017 Big Little Lies Just finished the series. Joanne read the book for book club, so could educate me how the adaptation differed. Great Cast, high production values and Big Sur scenery (Hello Bixby Bridge) thanks to relocating from Sydney suburbs to Monterey. The titular Big Little Lies of the seemingly perfect lives are intact and well realized, and the nuances of the different socio-economic strata made concrete. Reccomended.
