ironbut Posted April 26, 2016 Report Posted April 26, 2016 I couldn't make up my mind which season of Fargo I liked the best! I wish I could watch them for the first time again. 1
shellylh Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Finished binge watching the first two seasons of Mozart in the Jungle, highly recommended. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Fades, on a recommendation from a Dresden fan group on Facebook. They like to play "who would you cast as", and Natalie Dormer came up...
Dusty Chalk Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 Earlier : final episode of Castle. ; _; In an article, the creators said they made three different endings: a normal cliffhanger if the whole cast came back, another version if they let Stana Katic/Kate Beckett go (!), and a third version if the series got canceled. They hoped not to air that last one, because it was too depressing. Well, the series is over, so it was that last one, and they were right, it was depressing as hell. They have children. XD
shellylh Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Just finished watching Orange is the New Black Season 4.
ironbut Posted June 30, 2016 Report Posted June 30, 2016 Watched the first 3 episodes of Brain Dead. Pretty fun summer show and particularly enjoyable during this crazy political season!

Dusty Chalk Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Comcast made the mistake of giving me access to everything I watch on TV via computer -- I have become a total couch potato. Mostly True Blood, though. Watched the first episode of Roadies, tried to watch the second, it wouldn't let me. Not sure what changed... 1
Dusty Chalk Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Regarding Roadies -- Thinking perhaps that Showtime was on preview...and now it isn't, since I don't technically have Showtime. Watching Preacher now -- FUCK this is good. They are really doing the graphic novel series justice. And the tagline is perfect: How can a show this bad be this good? I has a sad, though. This is one of the shows that makes me believe that a few like minded folks have snuck into the decision making levels of cable tv. Thank god!
Grahame Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 Then you may enjoy Matt Berry in the equally puerile but very funny "Snuff Box"
Dusty Chalk Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 Just finished True Blood. Damn if seasons 6 & 7 didn't make up for season 5. Season 7, in particular, despite some minor flaws, might've been my favourite season.
mikeymad Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 A good one http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/john-oliver-what-kind-of-human-animal-would-do-this 1

Dusty Chalk Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Stranger Things Very enjoyable Pure throwback heaven I think this video missed a couple (non-70s/80s) references -- Under the Skin and Ghost in the Shell come to mind:
ironbut Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 It thought it was a pretty fun ride! I'm a huge fan of Goonies so this one hit those buttons for me. It could have used more funny stuff though. 1
MexicanDragon Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 I enjoyed Stranger Things, but I have a feeling I missed *most* of the references. When 90s nostalgia comes around with something like this, though, it's on. **BRENT**
TMoney Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Fascinating PBS Doc on the rise of Christianity in the Roman Empire as told from the scholarly perspective. Really learned a lot watching this.

When 90s nostalgia comes around with something like this, though, it's on. Did you spot any 90s references? I only caught the one brief Ghost in the Shell one. It'd be cool if they did season 2 as sort of a 90s tribute the way season 1 was an 80s tribute, but I'm not sure the 90s had such a distinct look as the 80s did. Perhaps season 2 could be a 70s tribute, but Rob Zombie is already doing that with his movies, especially House of 1000 Corpses, albeit more slanted towards true horror. Oh well, we'll see.
MexicanDragon Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 Heh, I didn't pick up any 90s stuff (though I did have to catch some of the cars and make sure they were all period correct; I think a Ford Festiva was a little too new, but it was close.) That e28 was pretty hot. Heh, House Of 1000 Corpses was Zoe's first movie in theatres... at 6 months. **BRENT**
Dusty Chalk Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 You're a horrible person! Too cheap for a babysitter, so you subject the other movie patrons to a 6-month-old infant?!?!?
