n_maher Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 I bet you can use Comcast to access a place where it is available on demand... Sure, it's just weird that it isn't there for everyone.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Hit & Miss -- this is actually really good, I'll probably watch all the (6) episodes. Why am I so familiar with Chloe Sevigny? It's like I've seen at least one movie with her in the lead, but looking at her filmography, I've only seen American Psycho (bit part), Demonlover (> bit part, but < starring role), and Zodiac (bit part).
Voltron Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Watched Mariano Rivera get an unprecedented solo walk to the mound on his 13th and final all star appearance with the crowd and both teams cheering him on. That was pretty impressive and moving.

Famous BJ scene in Brown Bunny? Big Love?
Dusty Chalk Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Haven't seen either of those. I'm thinking she's just really memorable in everything she does, because the show absolutely fetishizes on her face, and it's extremely unique and expressive...and familiar. And she was cast so perfectly for the role -- she's got that Roxy Music album cover looks to her. The scene at the end of episode 3 ("this is how it would work" in answer to the question, "how could it ever work") -- yeah, exactly.
shellylh Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Great, nuclear or both? Great but someone is really starting to piss me off.
deepak Posted July 24, 2013 Author Report Posted July 24, 2013 I've seen the Sopranos multiple times, and I love The Twilight Zone. Who are the non-loathsome characters on The Sopranos? The only ones I can think of are maybe a few guys in the FBI; all minor characters. And Paulie. I've attempted to watch this again (I watched it all a couple of years after it ended), but I just can't bring myself to do it. First time I watched it I sort of glossed over how annoying Tony actually is.
deepak Posted July 24, 2013 Author Report Posted July 24, 2013 How is Paulie not loathsome? His general demeanor makes up for his shittyness. He usually made me inadvertently laugh on the inside when he was on screen.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Orange is the New Black -- despite being a show about a women's prison -- many of them lesbian -- this show is surprisingly good in a non-exploitative way. I don't think I've ever heard, "Please keep it. Please keep the penis." and nearly cried with how sincerely it was delivered.
aardvark baguette Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 Just watched the first 2 seasons of Luther on netflix. Wow. 1
Grahame Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 S3E1. just about to watch S3E2 . Then E 3+ 4 tomorrow night.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 I'm waiting until September when they'll actually air over here, I'm in no rush, got plenty of other shows to watch in the meantime.
Wmcmanus Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 I'm on the second season of Six Feet Under. Kind of odd in a number of ways, but obviously intentionally so, which then serves to limit the effectiveness of those oddities But I'm drawn to several characters and thus quite liking the show overall.
en480c4 Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 Firefly marathon on the Science channel. I this show so very much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 1
blessingx Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Orange is the New Black...This. Only one episode in, but funny how much its introduction is reminding me of boot camp. Making bunks night before and sleeping on top/floor, invisibility techniques, etc. Less yelling and more sleep though. Edited July 29, 2013 by blessingx
Dusty Chalk Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Yes, it's outstanding. Actually got me to stop watching Hit & Miss, even though I only have two more episodes to go. Will probably finish OitNB first.
