postjack Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 i try to remain optimistic...but i agree... oh yeah, I always stay optimistic about SNL. it will always get better eventually. I think it's just time for a new head writer. Tina Fey got stale eventually, I think Seth Meyers just is as well. assuming he is still head writer.
bozebuttons Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 jet/ brown game pretty tight game.
The Monkey Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 The Jets make it difficult to remain a fan. All I needed from them was to end the game by 4 pm. Win or lose. They couldn't even do that right.
laxx Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Backlogged tv shows. Started with Leverage, now onto Greys Anatomy. Threw in Inception during the afternoon as well.
Craig Sawyers Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 i hate that show so much. Check.
deepak Posted November 17, 2010 Author Report Posted November 17, 2010 i hate that show so much. It has its funny moments
Dusty Chalk Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 It's not so much that it's funny -- it's a sitcom, ferpete'ssake -- it's just that I can relate to a lot of the nerd humor. Plus, I love it when they go out of there way to get the math right on stuff. They actually have a consulting physics professor on the show to make sure that the nerd-speak is mostly somewhat realistic.
emelius Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 season 1 of White Collar as my sister landed a job with them after being let go from Spartacus: Blood and Sand... it's not a bad show...a bit docile...kinda like a Castle-lite...instead of a mystery writer they have a forger/thief/con man...
guzziguy Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the FoodNetwork. He visited Tommy's Joynt in San Francisco. It looks like it might be a great field trip on a NorCal or MOA meet. What do you say, local cognoscenti?
Bigguy Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I have been to Tommy's Joynt several times. Classified as a dive would be accurate. Food is good, similar to a HofBrau House we have in San Jose but on a smaller scale. Every time I pass the place I say "we gotta go there again". Parking is worse than it used to be but it is the city. There used to be a parking lot next door, now there is a building there now.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Wait, what? Emelius, I will definitely check White Collar out, I vaguely remember the previews, looked like it had potential. Me: Human Target, finally! No, they did not reincarnate Amy Acker.
Craig Sawyers Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 James May's Man Lab, which i'm rather enjoying. Did I mention that I saw James May in a traffic queue in our town recently (Abingdon UK)? A rather fine Rolls Royce, which is entirely consistent with May's penchant for Rollers.
Craig Sawyers Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 which of his many facial expressions was he wearing? The sort of neutral bored look of a bloke driving a car in a queue of traffic. Off camera, clearly.
Craig Sawyers Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 ah, so his "listening to Jeremy Clarkson ramble on" look. Pretty much.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Community, "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" -- this show rules.
