penger Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Entourage. Not liking this season. Just seems kinda bleh. Quote
shellylh Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Mad Men, season 1, episode 1. I found it quite boring. Does it get any better? Quote
HDen Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Mad Men, season 1, episode 1. I found it quite boring. Does it get any better? It does, but I actually found the first few eps much better than the later ones(seeing how they deal a bit more with the advertising stuff) Quote
Craig Sawyers Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Last night to Chichester to watch two one-act comedies. Stoppard's "The Real Inspector Hound" and Sheridan's "The Critic". Both were plays within plays, with a bunch of first rate and well known actors who were in things like Notting Hill, Fierce Creatures, A Bridge too Far etc. Studio theatre with around 200 in the audience. The cast member you might recognise by name is Una Stubbs who was the slightly dotty landlady in Sherlock (and also back in the 60's and 70's in Till Death do us Part). A fine afternoon (we went to the matinee), in tears with laughter. Quote
Sherwood Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 The Room. oh wow. I sincerely hope you're watching it in a crowd participation setting. Quote
Sherwood Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 it may very well best english language television show ever made. keep watching. It fills me with a kind of longing for something that probably never existed. A real work of art, that show. Quote
jinp6301 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 It does, but I actually found the first few eps much better than the later ones(seeing how they deal a bit more with the advertising stuff) same. i miss the ad stuff on the show Quote
emelius Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Top Gear...best of season 15 parts 1 & 2... almost current on Breaking Bad...craving a new show...tried Haven...blech...Modern Family was too predictable...they have a lotta uncomfortable situation humor, too...which is easy/poor...still, though...i did laff a lot so maybe i'll stick w/it... Quote
Sherwood Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Watched "Community" yet, emelius? You might enjoy. I did, and I also hated Haven, laughed at Modern Family and was frustrated by the predictability of it, and like every one ever enjoyed top gear. Quote
emelius Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 yep, all over Community:)...& think the Paintball episode will go down in the annuls...much like the uh...well there's an episode of the series Spaced that is even better, but i wouldn't know what to call it:)... Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 You mean the one with the guy who voiced Dark Maul in the forest? That was an awesome episode....uncomfortable situation humor...Thank you for putting a name to that. Not really familiar with that series, though've been meaning to watch it, but yeah, I don't really "get" USH. Quote

nattonrice Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Rubicon. The quality of the writing and general presentation of the story is a breath of fresh air. Quote
laxx Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 24 Season 6... finally getting around to it. Quote
HDen Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Rubicon. The quality of the writing and general presentation of the story is a breath of fresh air. Yes the latest eps was also great, hope they don't add some silly twist that ruins it. Last show I watched was The Big C, some of you might like this new 'dark-comedy' Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 sith bigotry rearing its ugly head:palm:...No, that would be nitwit typing. Quote
spritzer Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Ditto. Not great by any means but it didn't totally suck... Quote
Voltron Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Watched the first new episode of Weeds last night. Not bad, but still in the over the top mode so far afield from where the show started. Quote
