jinp6301 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 anyone have any recommendations on shows that are as good as six feet under?
jinp6301 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I dont really like like Peter Krause too much. My friend told me to watch Sports Night just because I liked six feet under
Dusty Chalk Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I thought Sports Night was an amazing show, probably one of the best ever (after Whedon's trinity), but not because of Peter Krause, although he was good in it. It's wonderfully executed by a tight ensemble cast, the writing is superb beyond words ("How much do you love me now?" being one particularly memorable highlight), the dialog is deft and realistic, the chemistry is palpable...I could go on and on. I need to get that back from the person I lent it to and watch it again. I still haven't seen Six Feet Under.
jinp6301 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I'm on the last few episodes of Sports Night. I really like the second season. The sitcomy-ness of the first season annoyed me.
laxx Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 Charmed season 4. Took a break after watching 3 seasons and now that I caught up with Pushing Daisies, I can take another season or two of Charmed.
grawk Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 The capitals EEK one out in OT against the rangers
laxx Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Last episode of Charmed season 4. Taking a break from charmed again to watch Eli Stone.
Duggeh Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Charmed runs pretty thin by end of season 5. By season 8 its some of the crappest television I've ever sat through.
Grahame Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Oz and James Drink to Britain The odd couple - the self-proclaimed wine ponce Oz Clarke and the scruffy petrolhead James May - set off on an extended pub crawl around Britain, driving a Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible and towing a caravan behind them. Their purpose “is to find the drinks that speak to modern Britain”. Yeah, right. At first, May is reluctant to make a fuss about beer. “It's like intellectualising sausages,” he says. “It's a simple drink for people who want to get on with something useful.” But after a few pints, he's up for anything, comparing the hoppy quality of a beer to “the sweetness of a nymph being chased by a Viking of bitterness”. As always with these two, their enjoyment is contagious.
laxx Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 I thought the new Nip/Tuck was great. New Scrubs too!! Episode one was awesome, two less so. Started Eli Stone.
jinp6301 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 SFU: Season 2 This show is better the second time around
en480c4 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 WALL-E for the second time. I've watched it 4 times now... Twice on my HTPC after downloading it, and twice on BluRay. Love it, and man does it look great through the PS3!
Knuckledragger Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 A whole bunch of vintage George Carlin on YouTube.
