Dusty Chalk Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 generic Chinese Kung Pao chicken -- you know, this makes me really disappointed in places that don't pass muster on Kung Pao -- it's a hard dish to screw up, I'm even enjoying this generic Chinese place's Kung Pao. Dressing was olive oil, balsamic, dijon mustard salt and pepper. The salad accompanied butterfly pork chops with a spice rub obtained from The Spice House in Old Town, Chicago. We haz happy tummy. NightWoundsTime Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Getting ready to warm up yesterday's curry. Got a nice red snapper from the fresh fish market around the corner from my house (with BP's extra special seasoning). Mostly fresh ingredients in the food processor to make my curry paste with coconut milk from a can. Had them clean the fish with the backbone still connected on one side, cooked the whole thing in the curry and then cleaned the meat off. Finished with some red peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Came out pretty damned excellent. Quote
